    I wonder if there is a website that sells widescreen televisions at reasonable prices.

    I have no desire to deal with those fools but now that I moved out of my studio apartment and have a big 1 bedroom, I want to get a television (I was using my ATI AIW and 21" monitor before).

    So, if anyone can recommend a good online vendor for HDTV's... let me know.

    And it brings some people together. I know several people that have met and married in real life through Everquest. They are happily married and two couples have already started families.

    There are some out in the world who cringe at this statement. To think that our society has become so depraved that people cannot meet in the real world to start that foundation of civilization, the family.

    Many people in Europe also conceptually know that where these cities/states are (NYC is in the east, Chicago is in the middle, San Francisco is in the west), but they have no idea the distances involved.

    Most people in France for instance, probably have no idea their country is only slightly larger than Texas, or that Alaska alone is larger than most of Western Europe.

    Honestly, I wasn't aware that SD adapters were that much more expensive. It is of course a CF card. But considering how long ago I got, I figured there must have been some improvement in the miniaturization of the components.

    I certainly have no love of GWB due to his lack of military training and leadership history.

    None the less, the new government of Spain is repulsive, and it will do nothing but further destroy the precious Spanish cultural heritage that Franco did so much to preserve. Spain is rapidly descending into the abyss of Western European nihilism and I pray they do not become another France or Germany.

    Make no mistake the banning of automatic weapons was for this specific reason.

    A great post, but the raping of the people by banks has been going on now for a century. We fought two world wars over it.

    In reality, credit card fraud is a tiny way banks fuck the people. It is absolute peanuts compared to what the federal reserve does every single day.

    Fraud sucks, surely, but the real root problem here is usury itself.

    I have used single sized CD's in many different kinds of car audio players that are slot loading.

    Wouldn't cd-rom drives in computers use the exact same technology?

    I haven't noticed this phenomenon, but I try to buy more name brand stuff. They DO however make "single" sized cd's that are rarely actually used for singles these days. They store up to 170MB i believe.

    They sell them at CompUSA or wherever, and are approximately the same size as a diskette.

    I don't think the parent is suggesting these swarms of analog robots are cheaper per se, but that their redundancy and simplicity will be less prone to failure and will be better able to handle the unknown characteristics of alien worlds. The individual robots are cheap, yes, but I see nothing there that assesses the aggregate cost of the project (base station + small "cheap" robots)

    As for your statement that this scheme will be "much more expensive" from what I have read that issue is quite uncertain at this time. Maybe it is more expensive, but is it much more? Does that increase in cost not have a corresponding increase in benefit?

    Its not quite as simple as you make it out to be.

    I don't have a link, but I have studied the issue extensively.

    There were several kinds of olympic games, but there was growing concern that specialization was a problem. Later games got around the problem by requiring people to win several different events.

    You wouldn't win the prize if you could only wrestle, but you had to run as well.

    That large enter key and normal size backspace key came from the XT keyboard, but people didn't like it so IBM went back to the AT keyboard (which was not their original design btw)

    I don't think apple has ever used the XT keyboard layout, but it does seem to be more and more common amongst PC keyboards which pisses me off.

    Interestingly, MS never uses it with their Natural keyboards.

    This is very true, Farscape originally started my senior year of college, when I was too busy to watch TV, and then the two years after college when I was working or getting trashed/laid.

    I started to relax a little bit and spend time at home instead of in bars, and I couldn't figure out what the fuck that show was about...
