I look at the box, and then try it. If it's not obvoius how it works then after some fiddling I might look at the instructions. I've worked in a computer shop for the last 3 odd years and it hasn't failed me yet.
I do a lot of forecasting based on computer models. You current accurately predict specifics, but you can work out trends quite accurately. Like I can look at time 3 days out and see that there is potential for severe thunderstorms. That doesn't say that they'll happen, but there's a potential for them. It's never absolute, but you can get an idea. With a combination of computer models and local knowledge you can get pretty good, but don't expect to be able to say exactly what the temperature will be, or if a particular locality will get rain. I think half the issue is that a lot of weather presenters don't really understand what they're talking about and predict it as if it's absolute truth.
I'm always looking for resources for finding locations, and the web isn't that great for Atlas style maps. Anyone know if the atlas in encarta is any good? Thanks,
You could use renewable energy more easily in the grid than in a car. Plus even currently energy can be produced more efficiently in power stations, than in car engines.
I've actually found that on my machine, a pretty much standard desktop, response is a lot slower on 2.6.5 than 2.4.22. Not sure if I got something set wrong in the compile, but moving the mouse and stuff like that seems a lot jerkier under load. I use a USB mouse and keyboard, so maybe that's part of it. Anyone else seen similiar?
No one. I didn't suggest paying them. In the music industry there are companies that represent large numbers of songwriters. So they should pay the companies representing the particular writers a reasonable commission to be able to publish the lyrics.
If this device uses UPnP, and your router supports UPnP it so should work okay. I don't think this one uses it though. UPnP is actually quite a good idea despite being a MS idea.
If you've got your own Jabber server, then it's your fault if it goes down. That's the whole point, the server is freely available to download, I could run one on my LAN if I wanted to.
LOL, I normally install a new program, then when it breaks my carefully crafted configuration then I look at the README and Release Notes.
/. I'm not a cowboy, and I don't need to slow down!
And for the last time

You guys are forgetting that coal burning releases radioactive materials too....
I2P is a far better system. You can run any normal TCP or UDP apps over it, it's just like an anonymous replacement for IP. http://www.i2p.net
IRC and HTTP work great over it.

They've removed that information from their site!!! This must be a part of the CONSPIRACY!!!!

then yes there should be royalties paid to the copyright owners. Non-profit users shouldn't have to though.
There's no solid evidence, but of lots of people who worked on high power radio that I know of, most of them now have cancer.
When CDMA is released as a free and open standard like GSM.
Columbus travelling to the USA gets us what? Hello, pay attention here please.

Again. Jabber is a protocol, not a program. Therefore a daemon could be written using the Jabber protocol that used LDAP to authenticate.

Yes, but what's wrong with using it's protocol. Jabber is a protocol, not a program. Interoperablity is always a good thing.
What Interface? Jabber is a protocol. There are hundreds of interfaces you can have.
You can run your own Jabber server, and it can also message other Jabber users. Some of the clients support encryption too.
What codecs do you have loaded - It wouldn't work for me.....
I'd buy it if I didn't have to use credit card. I refuse to ever get a credit card. I wish they'd except bank transfer.....
Well there is already such a system, with http://www.w3.org/PICS/RSACI and it's a w3c standard.
...by the time that's released!
(I've only just finished school)
