Not hours, but once I sent a "Where are you?" text to my GF at the casino. I waited a few minutes with no reply, then I went to look for her. Right after I found her, her phone sounded off. It was my text.
True, but finding my pet's name isn't that easy. For one thing, I don't have a pet. Someone who knows me might guess whose pet I "borrow", but that person has had about a hundred pets, and that person doesn't use social media, so her pets aren't online.
I agree that Google Doc isn't the problem. Android is. It's not the small screen either, as a tablet should be big enough. IMO, it's the touch-screen and the fact that everything is full-screen.
I don't know about photo editing, but I tried editing spreadsheets and/or documents on my phone. Once. I never tried it again, and IIRC that was Google Docs. Android (and iOS) just plain suck for that.
As with most things, it's a tradeoff. If I'm in the living room, I usually watch on the "big screen". But I sometimes watch in the bedroom or kitchen, and the iPad works fine for that.
I do half of that. My FB account is full of boring stuff that would put any border cop to sleep (Heck, it puts me to sleep and I wrote it). The good stuff, like my plans for world domination, aren't on FB in any of my identities.
Latin seems like it has most of the benefits you raised, with the additional benefit of having more users.
Latin may have more users, but most of Esperanto's users are alive.

That's the problem. This crap is bipartisan.
This doesn't look like a desktop to me. :-p
5) Getting caught pissing behind the bushes can get you on the Sex Registry.
European government officials play golf and have wives too.
That must be fun when you logon from your phone.

True. I've got a lot of those type of accounts, and I use a weak pw on them. Why bother to come up with a strong pw on a worthless account?
When my passwords get pwned, at least I can change them. When my biometrics get hacked? I'm SOL.
Both will play the cat video. Both will not easily handle the word processing/speadsheet using that many people do.

I'm not sure about that. Some of the McBarf food is so greasy, I think a robot did spit oil into it.
We will not need 1 billion robot repairmen. We will not need 1 billion code monkeys.
There will be no new labor sector. Labor itself will effectively go extinct.
This has never happened before.
I have a solution. Have those 1 billion code monkeys from India program the robots. Then we WILL need 1 billion robot repairmen.
Would this be torture for the engineer, or torture for the girl?
Yes.

If it rains, you're in trouble.
I watch TV. And you're right, Youtube is better than most of it. :p
Same here. I don't have any problem with long coding sessions. But long meetings? That's a problem.
They might have. But they got overridden by a PHB who thought they should record everything possible.

That's one of my peeves. The SSN is fine as an ID. It is NOT fine as a password, and those people who treat it as such are idiots.
Other than the weather* and maybe traffic reports, quit reading / watching what passes for the news these days.
Even those are politicized. The traffic is spewing out all sorts of greenhouse gasses, and causing all that bad weather via Global Warming.
Few? Maybe, but certainly not "none". I'll probably try a System 76 when my budget permits.
