    How about old school PC games such as the Might and Magic series or the old SSI games like Eye of the Beholder. I would like to see a reboot of Earth and Beyond or Thief.

    The right wording can and is interpreted differently by each politician/group to say what they want it to. The best is to counter criticism with intelligent thought and tolerance. We need to learn to agree to disagree.

    Local Art institutes do not teach reality in graphics. Especially graphics that does not clog the band width. I have to re create designers work for print and online on a monthly basis. You can seek design help but you my need to alter it to work at a clean and understandable form. Try some small web design firm that is willing to help on side projects. You may also be able to share codding projects with them and make some side money as well.

    People also seem to forget that he is an Isolationist. The days are over where you can close your borders and go it on your own. ALL OF THE CANDIDATES ARE CORPORATE SPONSORED. The change has to be more than just the president. We also need to get rid of the bible thumping our morals and Ideals must be yours or else people still in the government once Nixo..oops...Bush is gone. :)

    By law the Non Compete is invalid if they keep you from earning a living in your profession. I always find a way to forget to sign the Non Competes. The most they can get you on is if you take company technology or employees with you.

    NO. NO. NO. Neither Apple nor Microsoft should be able to buy Adobe. For one thing you run into Monopoly issues. For another, even if you do not like the interface for Photoshop the Adobe workflow is used in most printing and marketing businesses. Much of thoes computers are PC using windows and linux since the drivers for the commercial machines are programmed for the PC, the Macs are an afterthought. I use Xerox, Cannon and Konica all who do now work well with Apple but all that do use the Adobe PDF/JDF workflow and Photoshop, Indesign etc.

    So I say NO.

    There is a difference between using a technological device and creating one. Without a base knowledge of things you cannot move beyond what is in front of you. I agree there needs to be more science in schools but I still think of one saying, if you ignore the past you are doomed to repeat it. Yes if you are not interested in a certain subject it will be boring but that is why they call them BUILDING BLOCKS.

    I have a son who scored high in the gifted test, the school lost them so he must take them again. He gets bored so we push him to do more. He is in 6th grade and reads at a 9th grade level. The library at school does not even have his level of books. It takes the parents to get things done. I push him and the teachers to keep him going. The system is broken and the government as it is will not fix it.

    I have actually had good luck with WD drives. Over the years I have had bad batches but they were with Segate and Maxtor drives. I still have 1 gig drives I keep as emergency drives I can throw in a external case.

    I have bad luck with DVD burners writing on low humidity days however.

    So if this it true then the movie industry is blaming their lack of quality on a small minority of people, which can be said using many different sceneros.

    If you have 100,000 computer users and 1.5% of them have the burning software (1500 people) and only 1/3 of them use it (500 people) and only half of them are supposed to download non Pornographic movies that is an average of 250 people per 100,000 or around two fifths of a percent.

    This does not add up to the amount of the losses they claim.

    It goes back before oil. The roman church tried many times to convert the muslims before they started pumping oil. Its more about centuries of tribal, Religious and cultural differences.

    Actually it does have some to do with Bush's decisions. His corporate policies give rise to situations like this. The lawyer was making a point about the power of the RIAA and the likes have grown too powerful. The pendulum has swung far from the citizen and small business and toward larger corporations and the rich. A correction is coming like it usually does we just dont know when.

    The problem is getting used to it is once you are fine with this then more restrictions are imposed until you loose rights to do anything the government deems bad. No matter what government you live under you must question and keep them in line. If no one questions the government they will start to legislate morals by their beliefs and soon the internet will be nothing that made it what it is. We of the masses have lost control of our governments and the internet is/was the last open forum globally.

    True. To really find it out you would also need a blind poll and a more diverse group.
    Most of these magazine polls are led by the questioning, usually to the favor of the magazine.

    Still I like Firefly. I also liked Babylon 5, Earth 2 and Farscape but would not recommend making a movie from them.

    Problem is that with Republican leadership that leans toward the corporations the laws will be removed not increased or enforced. Bush actually turned back a pollution bill already in place by many years.

    The bigest problem is that we are giving people anitbiotics for everything which allows the organisms to adapt and become resistant faster. I have found that my children and my self do not use the anti bacterial gells and wipes for everything tend to be healther because we build up an imunity to the basic stuff that is around us every day. I get sick mabey once every other year. We do need good antibiotics out there but not for the common cold or the sniffles or a sore ear that might or might not be infected. I dont consider a piece of kix an infection.
    So, roll in some mud, eat that piece of pizza that was left out the night before and our antibiotics may work longer. :)

    This is not about the bible and what some beleive. If we ran science by the bible we would still be living in huts and preists would be living with sheep and children.

    We have more than five volcano's in Washington and Oregon and most are active in one form or another. Scientist though havnt been able to watch Ranier, St. Helens, Adams Blow so this is all new.

    Along with Zork, which I still play from time to time, does no one remember the gold box D&D games like the Krynn series and Eye of the Beholder?

    I have Zork I thru return to Zork. I haven't found many if any FPS games that make you think beyond what to kill.

    It should be on the parents who do not notice the aggression of their child and what the media in general does to them. It is not the action of the game or movie but the disposition of the person it effects in that way.

    How many people went out and ran over pedestians after watching Death Race 2000?

    Part of the learning problem is interaction with other LIVE PEOPLE. There also has been a case where hadwriting suffers along with spelling. I have an eight year old and a four year old and the teachers do like to use computers but when it comes to math and language they are told to do it by hand. It is the early years where the computer can hinder some of the ineraction and learning.

    My kids only have learning software on the computer and it does help. The entertainment comes from the PS2 and XBox which they can use on a limited basis.
