I was under the impression that most communication technologies (like cellphones) used frequency hopping over a spread spectrum for more security and also to avoid jamming.
For those who are still itching to post, there's always www.ratemyprofessors.com.
I've used these reviews before as a guide, but never to make a final decision whether or not I want to take a class with a professor. It seems more likely that a person will post comments because they're upset and just want to complain.
I mentioned this once before, but a while ago my friend and I were discussing about the feasibility of a Mars mission, and he suggested that NASA should get funding by selling the rights for a reality television series.
I don't know how well it would work, but if you put a promiscuous woman astronaut on that mission, the bidding war for the show would be insane.
Let's hope they don't adopt the Street Fighter numbering system for new versions. I can see it now:
Me: But I already have GameCube Linux Alpha 2 Turbo Salesman: Yes, but you don't have GameCube Linux Alpha 2 Turbo Championship Edition. Me: WHERE DO I SIGN?!
Here at BU, we have this program called the Late Entry Accelerated Program LEAP where people with non-engineering degrees can get their masters. As far as I can tell, most people in LEAP start off in a few essential undergrad classes, then go pretty quickly onto the Master's track, not wasting any time.
I think our engineering program is pretty good. Our Photonics Center was just recently built (1996) so we attracted tons of exceptional professors but still have some pretty bad ones. We have some nice labs too. I think it's worth checking out, especially in a few years.
1. Don't allow MSN Messenger,AIM,Yahoo! in the office. Keep personal IM strictly separate from work IM.
2. Use IM clients that restrict who talks to who. If you are working in a team, you should be able to talk to your team via IM, then e-mail/call other people to get their IM if necessary.
3. For the love of God, get rid of custom away messages.
I don't think they're planning on starting mass production any time soon, guys.:P
I don't even think society is ready for the Segway. Last time I checked, Segways were getting banned from San Francisco sidewalks. Hell, even motorized scooters in Hawaii are banned.
With some luck, Embrio could hit it big and help change transportation, but they have to wait until we're ready for it. Remember, invention is like 50% timing.
We should just take already existing poems, have them translated into Japanese, and then have the Japanese translate it back into English. Put it all together and voila!:

Am I missing something here?

Not very different than Slashdot.

Here's the main page for our College of Engineering.
my friends went on a teacher's computer and took a screenshot of porn set in a Internet Explorer window and set it as the background picture.
Suffice to say, the teacher had many problems closing the window, even after restart.
(I'd like to see Darl's desktop. I bet he has underpants gnomes as his background.)
1. SCO announces to sue Gamecube users.
2. ???
3. PROFIT!
Do they rush for the first post, too?
This post made in the U.S.
To uncover weapons of mass destruction.
Zing!
I can see it now. Kids are going to start walking around with little tin foil hats on their cell phones just to win...
goatse.cx is a cool webpage.
In Soviet Russia, when on strike, Professors teach for three days straight?

All your base are belong to us.
Porn still comes in paper form, you know.

Interestingly enough, when said researcher applyed for research funding...
Neither is "applyed"
Rather than ban DVD screeners, the MPAA should really be focusing on the real problem, the leak. It must be an internal matter.
The independent film makers shouldn't have to be punished for someone else's problem, but I guess that's the price of freedom.
With all benefits of ICARUS aside, can't it be circumvented with something like Waste?
I was under the impression that Guy Fawkes day was celebrated. Why would you celebrate over something like that?
You can spend less on a ti-89. You don't need all of those fancy features to put answers or equations in your calculator.
The hard part is trying to justify to your professor why you're using a calculator for a history test...
Just FYI, mapquest doesn't seem to take neighborhoods into account when plotting direction. It always says to take a freeway.
Yahoo Maps, on the other hand, are a lot better.
You do realize that posting this story will probably kill the site for M$.
Oh well. At least it wasn't a small country.
