So, I have no insurance, go to an ER in the US because I got hit by a car. It's a hit and run, so there's no other person's insurance to cover it. I now have literally $20-30k in doctor's bills that will likely take the rest of my life to pay. And if I get sent to collections, good luck getting a decent paying job or any credit ever again. Yes, the top tiers of US health care are some of the best in the world. However it's paid for on the backs of those who can't really afford it.
You figured it all out. From what I've seen, personally, "conservatives" tend to outright lie about those minutiae, and "liberals" tend to massage the truth, not actually lying, but not telling the truth exactly, either. The biggest pro for internet news is that you can find stories from many sources which makes it easier to figure out what the truth is. Sadly, foreign news sources tend to be closest to the truth for American news.
Try living in the "great" ol' US of A. I have 10 Mbps (peak) cable internet for $50 per month. I could get 40 Mbps for about $80 a month. If I got FioS (or however it's capitalized) it would cost me upwards of $100 a month for 100 Mbps. This is, yes, in a large urban area.
Some injection systems required multiple thousands of dollars of repair after being run dry. I know that's not quite the same amount, but those cars I know about cost less than $30k new...
Lesson: If you pay over $100k for something, learn the limitations it has. Expensive things require more maintenance, usually.
Reasonable quality is exactly what they say. I've brought enough food for a whole week for a baby and they didn't bat an eyelash. But others have said they're very strict. Probably depends on the airport.
What if I feel they don't have a right to access it? Not everything is about legalities. Some laws aren't what certain people consider moral. That said, I would provide a password if needed.
If you know it could be used as evidence to incriminate you, of course you can. It happens all the time when companies shred incriminating financial documents before they are caught.
Hmm, well in my anecdotal experience, in the same rural areas, I have no problem getting signals with my GSM phone(s). Including my wife's, which is why I say phones.
Yes, I do. My organization spent hundreds of thousands doing just this to get standardized cameras that worked with known APIs so they would work with multiple software vendors. Unless the corp literally can't afford around $500 or so for each camera, they really should anyway.
How about signing up for marketing information so you get 30% off all your purchases at a retailer? Seems good to me. That's what I got out of giving Borders my info.
There's also the fact that I have a nook already, so any data B&N can glean from buying my data is just the few books I bought from Borders instead of them. Not really a big deal to most people who frequent bookstores. Most have purchased items at both retailers.
I didn't know carbon vaporized into the air in power generation. Maybe he assumed people would understand he meant various carbon-based greenhouse gases?
Of course there have been ways since Win98, but having it built-in is new. Windows 7 added burning ISOs natively. Windows 8 adds mounting natively. Meaning you don't have to buy third party software.
Some people don't have the money to do that, unfortunately. Seeing a computer at a B&M that fits the specs of what I need and is at fire-sale prices is hard to pass up, when what I really want would cost about 5x as much from HP business. And about 3-4x if I built it. Granted I don't get the warranty you do, but I can buy one of these every other year with upped specs each time, and never had one crap out in less time than that. But I don't let people install crapware on them either.
Had the wifi work on one laptop with the Live CD, but wouldn't work in the full install with a whole lot of wrangling. This was about 4 years ago, but still a weird issue.
Squaretrade is a well known consumer extended warranty company, and as far as I know has no business support arm. And the GP's post makes it sound like he worked somewhere similar to Geek Squad, as he mentions number sold vs. number repaired.
Florida has been Republican run since 1999. Not sure if you knew that...
Some responsible adult should probably slap you silly like the manic pre-teen you are

Or, you know, breastfeed instead of bottle feed? My wife does.

But the people holding your company together may die so you don't have a morning commute. At least not to the same job.
The chef at your favorite restaurant may have died in the epidemic.
I know it was a joke, but you have to think about these things!!

So are many business class laptops, including many Latitudes.
Better price for same/similar specs? That's what I did. Couldn't find anything near the price on Newegg.
I sat next to one of the people who didn't pay for a second seat. It was a looooooong 4 hour flight....
Then why is poker on the Entertainment *Sports* Programming Network? Some people think it's a sport.
Don't you dare turn off my curling match for some stupid baseball game!
