He used the same evidence that was used against him. It's not his fault if it was faulty. The American justice system rewards people who find loopholes like this. I don't like the loopholes, but you better believe I'll think about using this defense if it ever happens to me.
There is no ref because that is not how *any* camera I have ever heard of works. They dump the image, time, exif data, etc to a buffer, and then process them, adding the timestamp from the buffer.
When a camera takes a picture and requires a timestamp, it pulls the data off the CCD (or possibly alternative sensor) and the clock at the same exact time (including, of course, processing time which could be a few milliseconds). It then stores that until it can process the image and add the timestamp. It has nothing to do with processing time, as these cameras have buffers that will hold at least two images and their respective timestamps while processing takes place. Exif info is taken the same way. My Canon camera has enough cache to take at least 5 or so pictures before it slows to write data, and mine is fairly low end.
This is how cameras work. You saying it's the processing time doesn't make it true.
The Math police are so much worse than even the Gestapo! Might as well cut your own hands off now and smash any graphing calculators you own. The offenses are just going to add up now...
How about De Blob 2, Super Mario Galaxy 2 (which GP may have meant instead of the original), DK Country Returns, Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time, Pro Evolution Soccer, Just Dance 2, I could go on, especially if I include WiiWare games.
Just because they're not your cup of tea doesn't make them bad games. You wouldn't believe how much fun my wife and I have with Just Dance 2. Granted the games I play have changed since I was married and had kids, but I don't see that as a bad thing. I still have as much fun as I used to. Maybe more because I don't avoid "crap" games that are actually tons of fun.
I was going to say the same thing. Just because the games you want to play are on another console doesn't mean Wii titles selling as many (or more) copies than whatever your favorite game is on another system are absolute crap. Wii has plenty of good games. Also, I don't like many "blockbuster" titles on PS3 or Xbox 360 anyway.
I take issue with the fact that a writer expects to make $100,000 for writing a book for two years. The writer may put in only one year's worth of work into that book. If people believe the writer's work is worth that much, they can all buy a copy and make the author $1,000,000. Or, if it's not that good, maybe he or she will only make $50,000. The problem with artistic employment such as writing is that, since you don't punch a clock, you're inherently saying that you allow others to set the worth of your work.
I honestly think Stephen King is a decent writer, but doesn't deserve anywhere near the amount of money he makes. He writes fairly quickly and spends much more time traveling. I would love to do the same, but don't believe my writing is that good.
The fact that all slashdotters ( and no, I'm not necessarily including you) lump all Apple users, or all Windows users, etc, into one group that is identical. Why can't we generalize about all slashdotters?
So they say. Now, I believe they will do their best to remove all DRM from games if Steam goes out of business, but if someone seizes their assets, etc, you're SOL.
Now, I have a decent amount of money invested in Steam, so I hope this doesn't happen. Just saying it's not a guarantee like you seem to think.
Have you tried to circumvent a Steam only game? I have a friend who did. It's a pain in the ass. He showed me all the "simple" steps he had to go through. This was for a $5 game, too. I said, "For all the time you spent on that, you could have worked 15 minutes of overtime and bought it."
I think the parent poster may have meant support in his or her enterprise. Or else maybe it was an old expiration date remembered. They have changed the end of life date a few times already.
Well, if they would just accuse him, he would have to provide it then. And he probably would. I agree that it's reaching to ask for him to self incriminate. I realize this is in Australia, not the US, but I believe they have some semblance to protect from self-incrimination.
I don't know about in Australia, but in Wisconsin, if my grandpa's tractor "crashed" into his pond or a structure, he would have had to remove it and the authorities would laugh at him if he called. If he was hurt, then, yes, he could have called an ambulance in which case they may have had to extricate him. From what I understand, if he had a crop dusting plane and crashed it into his field, as long as he didn't need immediate help he would have to do all cleanup. If he had an emergency, he would have been billed for the charges, of course.
Actually, in the past (I'm not sure about now) Sprint and Verizon did just that. And AT&T did too, before they bought Cingular.
It was funny the first time. Now, meh

You admitted that while logged in???

What's wrong with Tevas? They look good and are about the same price as any other brand. Plus, from what I've heard, they stand up pretty well.
I agree with the Members Only jackets. Those were never cool, and aren't even practical.
No, we need 10 times the rest of the world combined. That's why spending is so high.
You could do worse, that is as long as you can have fun with what they provide.

Makes me wonder why there are no hits on Google for goatscape rendering....
That doesn't tell you how hard it would be to make it that way though.
How about the fact that, in the original scene, Greedo's body was a burned out husk?
But if you're just being funny... STOP RIGHT NOW! Han shot first, Greedo is dead, that's the way it is. Live with it :-P
(Yes, trying to be tongue in cheek but I believe I failed)
Your timing was off by, I dunno, maybe a day?

Two words: Medical apps
a few more words: Badly coded apps
The first is the worst, because you can't always migrate to something better.
I think the parent poster may have meant support in his or her enterprise. Or else maybe it was an old expiration date remembered. They have changed the end of life date a few times already.
Because some people would rather not pay the power to run their PCs 24/7. You may not need it, but I would like it.

Actually, some breakthroughs have come from being "under the influence", some of Einstein's included.
