    some say the strenght of capitalism is that it is a system that sorts through all the strategies to find the better one. Seems like a little bit of healthy socialism beats a load of capitalism strategies.

    1. licence cost
    2. mandatory and costly MS upgrade cycles
    3. proprietary lock in
    4. piss off Bill Gates

    I hate it when people see genetics as only a can or cannot do scenario. Perhaps taste is genetic and even if one sex is as good or better than the other at something perhaps they wouldn't want to do it in the first place.

    An example is that women aren't better at doing dishes, it is just than men are more likely to hate it for whatever genetic/memetic reason.

    to help her clean Sasser off of her computer. That is what keeps me off of Windows. Also the pricetag. I shouldn't have to pay to put up with crap like sasser, I much prefer putting up with linux.

    Get rid of your day to day expenses such as cable and car if you can go without it. Also your gf should save you money not cost you money. Mine pays half of everything because she lives with me. If yours costs you money I'd worry sick.

    just a note. The microdrive in the Muvo2 4gb is the slowest microdrive you can get! About twice as slow as most high speed 1gb flash cards!

    mind you I had experience with a normal SLR before but I recommend the Canon Digital Rebel which I myself got.

    More importantly what you need to do is read a good book on photography. I found this online tutorial particularly interesting when I first started out. I spent a year making poor shots when it dawned on me what I was doing wrong. Depth of field is sooooo important.

    I'm by no means a professional photographer, but an enthusiastic amateur that would like to one day be really good.

    I've got so many options as it goes right now that I will take ages to figure out all of them. I'm way too pleased with the results that I don't think I'll even bother with the hack expect maybe one day if I understand everything about my Rebel and I don't care about ruining my warranty.

    Say I have my WIFI router opened up to the world and that I give free access to the person next door. So long as my personal computer is firewalled why should I care if he piggy backs my WIFI? I've got more than enough bandwith and really couldn't care less.

    I'm suprised it doesn't come up. Javascript can be fun to learn and teach a parent what can be done with it. It is simple enough and can allow you to learn stuff visually too. Javascript can change colors of elements on your page and so forth.

    Traces of anhydrotetrodotoxin 4-epitetrodotoxin in the flesh gives people a high. Just like it is more fun to eat a meal with a bottle of wine to intoxicate yourself with the poison in fugu does the same effect.

    I wonder if it would be possible to have a fugu with just very small doses of the poison so that we can eat it, get high and not die. Now that would be cool!

    but isn't it ridiculous to continue using the compaq brand name? What is so different from Compaq and HP machines? We all know that a Compaq machine is an HP one. Am I missing something or am I the only one who finds that this just doesn't make much sense?
