I don't know why the hell people do this. They release a product that is so increadibly slow by today's standards. A 266mhz machine Give me a freaking break!
I'll buy one of the Shuttle machines and put it in my trunk.
This would be a great diagnotics tool and a kick ass music storage holder. I always wanted to install a PC into my car and have some applications that would monitor my engines vitals.
First someone will get elected because they push the recycling initiative. Then they will discover that poor people are making more than thier minimum starvation wages. Then they will discover it is cheaper to ship it overseas than to build a recycling plant in West Virginia.
Then they will charge a deposit. Then after two years someone in the company was embzeling the money so the company goes out of business.
Or they will charge a deposit. The company goes public, stock shoots through the roof and then discover it's lucarative to charge even more for the depsoit.
That's how the U.S. ends. It ends with our company's looking for cheaper labor costs and in turn we teach them how all our products work and then they take over our company's.
You don't have to drop a nuclear weapon to win a war just win it economically.
When I first got into road bikes it was reasonable to get into the sport.
Now with all the advances in technology you have to spend at least $1500.00 just to get an entry level racer. That doesn't include the ultra hip clothes $200.00 and up for a pair of shorts and a jersey. $150.00 bucks for the shoes. $100.00 + for a nicely shaped foam helmet with a very thin layer of plastic over it.
I'll keep my 12 year old custom Cannondale until the wheels fall off.
This deal is a lot bigger when you consider all the other armed forces are going to need to be compatible with each other. The Air Force will be next then the Navy then the Marine Corps will probably use Linux because we kick more ass on 25 Cents and give you a dime back because we care to send the very best.
Of course this influences people to do things they otherwise may or may not have commited.
Take movies for instance. No, not the "Fast and Furiously stupid!
101 Dalmations. The live version. There was an upsurge of people going out and buying Dalmations. Unfortunatly some people found out that Dalmations are very hyper dogs and so a lot of people brought thier dogs to the pounds to get rid of them. I can only imagine how many of them were destroyed.
Lets take "Finding Nemo". I bet there are pet stores begging thier suppliers for all the clown fish they can get. I wish the Clown fish would have sub machine guns to shoot the hands off the fisherman who try to scope them from the ocean.
Now I am not a tree hugger by any means. But Movies and T.V do infulence people.
It was a good diversion from other areas of interest. Since there was so much fervor over Roswell, probably most conspiracy theorist spent most of thier time looking for the red herring in the wrong area.
I can already see the FBI trying to figure out how those mirrors can record everything that goes on in a room. Or Hotel employees embedding cameras in them.
In a case like this there is never one person to blame.

When you purcahse the car it is taxed and then when you resell it to another person it is taxed again.
Double taxation.
You are taxed on your paycheck and then when you invest your money and it generates income it is taxed again.
