I love the number of people telling the Japanese, of all people, how to build using wood, and using such mundane problems like rot as reasons it won't work. It's hilarious.
They are not taking phones. They are taking 'smart-phones'. I have a £5 flip phone i used for camping holidays that can't record either audio, video or images.
If you are that desperate to keep a mobile phone with you at all times, spend the few quid(literally) to have a device that can only make calls and it won't be taken away either.
I understand people feeling cut off and not being able to communicate, but we're way beyond that. People seem to think they REQUIRE what is almost a desktop PC computing experience in their pocket.
In all cases that I'm aware of including the definition of the word, a model is supposed to be a representation of something. It may be an aesthetic ideal, or cosmetically identical while being non-functional or in the case of model aircraft, partially functional but shrunk down in size.
In what way is a quadcopter(We all know that's what is being referred to) a 'model' of anything? As far as I can tell, pretty much all commercially available 'drones' are a complete and finished product that does everything that it's designed to do. The only way they could be classed as 'models' is in cases like the Millennium Falcon quadcopter, where it clearly is a partially functional representation of something else.
So I will continue to keep my head above water and not blame society for the fact that evolution didn't give me gills. The biology/effects of insulin resistance/sensitivity is my lack of gills.
If you're overweight the extra calories come from your fat. For an obese person, losing 5 lbs a week isn't all that extreme and that works out at something like 28000 extra calories.
so keep the lifestyle change in place. Type 2 diabetes isn't a disease, it's self-harm, intentional or otherwise. It's akin to saying that not holding your head under water is a cure for drowning.
It's been reversed consistently and predictably for years now with low carb/keto diets. This isn't anything new. It IS, however, good that the idea that it's not some kind of permanent disability is being pushed.
Except that in this case, the 'coursework' was also to be done in invigilated conditions, with no assistance, in a set amount of time, in school only....and students were taking photos of the tasks and posting them on stack overflow and other sites.
I don't want to put words in your mouth, but it seems as though you are suggesting that there is never any situation in which the cost of switching can be taken into account.
With a complete restructuring of the rest of society, maybe this suggestion could become true, but I'm not entirely sure that would fall under Munich's responsibilities.
When you compare PC sales with 'android device' sales you lose all credibility. Nobody has ever carried around a PC as a mobile phone and tablets are a different product with a different purpose. There's a very small overlap.
What you've done there is similar to comparing motorbike and car sales.
SInce it's the same act, then yes, it does.
Streaming, downloading to the desktop, or viewing on the webpage itself are ALL downloading. How the hell are you going to view a file if you've not downloaded the content? Magic? Do pixies communicate with the pixels in your screen to tell them how to show the file that isn't on your computer?
It does exactly what autopilot does in an aircraft. Autopilot is exactly the correct term.
The problem isn't the word autopilot, but the fact that people don't actually know what autopilot means.
I dont; know how you got 'requires internet connection to function ever' from this. That is never stated, nor implied.
Registration/activation, whatever they are calling it, will require a net connection, as well as updating the software. That is explicitly stated.
Absolutely. No point doing anything unless the effect is instant.
There may well have been news stories 3 years ago about plans that wouldn't be in place until 2017.
Why should they be interested? I don't like football, never have, and it hasn't affected my life in any way. Regardless of how much the idea seems to be getting pushed, NOT all job are going to be computer programmers.
My grandad always said, we'll always need ditch diggers. It stands to reason that we'll need everyone in between there and Head of state.
You've given girls equal opportunity. That's a good thing. Equality shouldn't mean forcing a particular group to do something they don't want to do becuase numbers.
And what is the economic case for this? And reading propaganda about space from Space Nutters is not very enlightening. We've been promised space-based manufacturing since the 1960s. And every time our technology got better and we simply don't need space.
Face it, it's over.
Because no economic gain has ever been made from any research ever.
Since it's use as a word to describe a training shoe is in the English Dictionary it's not slang. By your logic, sidewalk and trunk are American slang.
It may well not be the term used by the majority of English speakers, but you should have stopped there. That got your point across well enough before making yourself look foolish.

Free to Google, which is what he probably meant.
You're an angry, angry man. Chill. We need the smart people to live the longest.
There are 2 types of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

my bad, more like 19000, but the point stands

English cuisine is fine. What you've got a problem with is the majority of English cooks. They don't know how to.

"who's" works in the sentence he used it in. Context, Sir.

The American civil war proved that an American State is not a country.
Calling it a civil war implies that it IS a country. A civil war being a war within a single country; which you knew, of course.

'Proposing' flying to Mars, absolutely. Elon got that one covered.
