"Oh, thats great for a few like minded people, but no real person would want to buy a computer just to send this email stuff that no one they know can read!"
That's exactly the point I was striving to make. The parallel is the herd mentality involved. No one would have done it if they didn't know anyone else who had it. After all, emailing yourself loses its luster halfway into the third hour.
Now would be the time to get using PGP and similar software.
Thats great amongst a few like-minded people, but most people I know don't want to fiddle with encryption or even care if the messages are intercepted by persons or agencies unknown. You can't encrypt something by yourself (message-wise anyway).

I can't objectively think of a reason why a printer for a woman should be any different than a printer for a man
Look it from the deodorant commercial perspective: This printer is l33t enough for a man but CYK balanced for a woman.
These companies would NOT want to give up the American consumer market for any reason. So if you want them to stop offshoring, stop buying products from companies that offshore
Many people do not have that option. They have to make their meager wages last enough to live on. Why do you think WalMart does so well?
This is really more of a packaging / marketing/merchandising issue, than a technical or even a legal issue.
This could very well become a legal nightmare for this company.
I remember a case about a year or so ago where a family of a girl that was stalked and eventually murdered sued an "information broker" for aiding in her wrongful death. Not only was this guy able to get SSN, workplace info, etc, but one of these brokers actually called the victims mother to scam information out of her.
Now that this can be done easier than placing an order for it, I would expect to hear more on the issue.
The slogan for the now defunct pets.com was "because pets can't drive. Now that they can type and work a mouse, the driving thing can't be too far behind...
I would love to know where the Caste system comes into play in modern India. Would lower caste members (the $35/month servants) have any shot at these tech jobs?

It's 2.5TB!
Sweet. This is a sure sign that Doom 3 is almost here...
Slightly OT - What programs do you use for divx on the Zaurus and are they stable?
Clerks: The Animated series covered this perfectly.
Brit: Pack of fags?
Randall: You're a fag.
Brit: It's a cigarette, mate.
Randall: I'm not your mate, fag!

Where Decepticons were impersonating Autobots?
but you can't do that with an auto bot that then goes and pumps your details into Yet Another Mass Marketing Tool
I don't remember that Transformer...
You had better luck with Google. This guy says that the Russian missions abort you.
So the Dogster people sit around imagining a Beo-woof cluster of these?
Looks like Dogster has been put to sleep.

Holographic cover would be the LEAST that Lucas could do for making us wait this damned long.
"Buy me, you miserable geek. You're my only hope!"
People have been doing the same thing with the Creative Labs MuVo2. Buy player and sell the card at a profit.
If a book gives step by step instructions on the 'hack', can it really be considered a hack anymore?
Don't forget that the free exchange of ideas is integral to the hacker ethic. This makes for inspiration for other hacks.
but sometimes I think that the hat must be too constricting, affecting mental processes...
Tin Foil Beanies usually give a better fit.
has Budweiser sold beer?
Beer really isn't sold, per se. You just get to rent it for a little while.
Irvingnet, the home of the Fark IRC channel, was also affected in the raid. The MOTD said that the entire datacenter was cleaned out by the FBI.
strong evidence of a supermassive black hole ripping apart a star and consuming a portion of it
The goatse jokes pretty much write themselves at this point.

If hanging out with rude, pimply faced pre-teens, drug dealers, and pedophile's is your cup of tea...
You saw that very special episode of Webster too?
I wonder if it's him
Probably not, impulse drive is sold separately.
They book change rooms? What are people doing in there? Having high tea? Holding a seance? Reading SCO legal documants?
I had my birthday party in a Prada changing room, you insensitive clod!
