People use a condom but it's not 100% effective on its own.... but more effective when used in conjunction with about birth control method (such as reading slashdot).
- I've used a simple software rescaling algorithm so the entire screen will fit into the tiny 480x272. This of course takes a lot of CPU time and slows everything down quite a bit. It is possible to rescale the screen using the built in 3D hardware acceleration and I will get on it soon.
Windows 95 actually runs quite well but don't expect it to be a speed demon. It takes about 10 minutes to boot but afterwards it's pretty usable. I was able to do things like: open "My computer" and browse the virtual hard drive, complete a whole game of Minesweeper and run various other applications. Now you too can get your Minesweeper fix on the go:)
So CNN finds out you may have done something bad and would upset other people, so they publish your name, phone number, address, work address, and information about your SO.
Just because some of this can be looked up in a phonebook doesn't mean CNN should be reporting on that part of it.
The author of the article talks as though evaluating software objectively were a problem unique to adopters of Open Source
Not unique to open source but it affects open source projects more since they don't always have the marketing dollars to get word of a good product out there.
You clearly haven't been using a system recently that's been riddled with spyware
And you clearly work for Dell technical support
Question: My computer is [basic OR advanced computer problem here] Dell Answer: You clearly haven't been using a system recently that's been riddled with spyware

No but that isn't what this is about.... google would be considered an "information-location tool" so if by chance it indexes a site which hosts copyrighted material (yes I know the possibility is shocking) they are liable.
You hit it right on...

No worries, he's using HSLINK and getting warez at the same time he uploads
Here, for you parent.
Or use 3d hardware acceleration... :)
Future improvements

Thanks for my good friend, view source.
Its in a SEC filing and has been on other news websites, they didn't just learn about it here.
And in fact we have some evidence that this wasn't the reason...

They'd be machine gun jubilees!

Not if it's in small area of the shuttle which has to deal with a lot of heat.. in this case the small area refers to the outside of the shuttle.
Unless you know what to look for I'm guessing you wouldn't... but I'm not the expert here.
You're assuming this is done at a driver level.
It's likely done at a hardware level, or more specifically firmware.
No problem with my $50 epson if I break it, but damned if I'm gonna try hacked firmware in a $10k network printer.
what typo? :)
Typo wasn't in my post... it was edited in.
My post started with (paraphrasing): Those who come from the pre-power ranger generation should appreciate this...

Are you a consultant?
No but I play one on TV.
Not only Google... but this effectively outlaws any P2P application with a search.....

I'd subscribe to things like Doctor Who in a second... I'm still a little bitter that I missed one episode of the new season.

Fair enough, but if a jury of 12 selected by both prosecution and defense feel he should be, I'm not going to stand in their way.
