First, i can add another phone for only $10, vs the 20 a month a pay for a land line (and they want to charge you MORE if you dont want long distance) Second, I havent gotten a SINGLE telemarketer call on my cell phone which i give out more than my land line number. So now I save time, money and sanity!
Where do you get your figures about KDE being the leading. Last I read, Gnome was leading. 2 people I work with use KDE, they also come from a heaving MS Windows environment. the rest of use use Gnome, fluxbox or wmaker, and have been using *nix for ALOT longer than the KDE users. So, whats that tell you? Those awed by pretty icons and fancy menu's (i think ugly, but whatever) use KDE, those that plan on getting real work done, use something else. (yes, this is offtopic, but SOMEONE has to wake up these nerds as to what desktop env is NOT good.)
Maybe KDE developers should read between the lines in this topic, it looks like ohh... nearly 50% of the comments are anti-kde? why would that be? does kde maybe suck? YES, Yes it does!
Yes, gnome is better, but as you can see this topic is mostly just read and meta moderated by KDE homo's because anything anti-kde is marked flamebait and such, BUT, atleast i can post my anti-gayde with my username, not as AC
wait till that pittiful bastard learns that it was the black kings in africa that sold the black into american slavery. (research it yourself if you have any doubts, i did) but who is the bad guy? Mark this as a troll if you want, and show your liberal media stripes.
We have 2 local power companies, One of which is cinergy who told me about 6 months ago they were beta testing and had hard plans to offer it in full swing in my area in 6 months, or if needed would offer atleast beta testing (which should be this month) but now they are quiet about it, another power co, IPALCO, has totally dropped moving to internet over power line. Strange thing is, they have already invested in ALL of the needed hardware and such to run it (i do have an inside source for this info) so...are we really going to see it?
The UN really should be disbanded, they are a joke, a HUGE waste of everyones money, and for such a "lets fight poverty and world hunger" org, they sure do make alot of personal money. Not to mention its pretty much an unconstitutional thing for the USA to be a part of. And for those out there that think the const. is "too old" or only applies to outdated thinking, please move away, we dont want or need your kind here.
"They totally don't explain how Neo is able to interact with the matrix when outside of it or how he was able to destroy machines." Actually if you paid attention they addressed this issue very openly. he was able to interact because he was the "one" and his conciousness transcended both worlds, this was explained after they freed neo from the train station and he went to see the oracle. no mystery there, just need to remain concious through the movie.
2 thumbs up? up an ass? did you see the same movie we all saw? it doesnt seem that way. They could have so easily taken the direction that StarGate took, and made a series out of it (SG1 isnt fantastic, but its allright) but no,kill off the key characters, they piss the planet off, will the jackass brothers ever work in hollywood again? id be surprised. The only thing they could do now, is really show the religious tones and bring neo back from the dead. the good point being to really piss off egypt. what a screwed up movie! If you keep your expectations VERY low, you might come out of the theatre mildly ill, rather than all out pissed off.
parent marked as troll, does that mean it was marked by a KDE troll? listen, i know the truth may hurt, but KDE really does suck, its the hard truth, deal with it.
if im not mistaken, the courts will be deciding if the GPL is upholdable under law, not SC(UM)O. oh wait, its time for them to try to jack up their stock so the suits can sell again isnt it?
MS knows mono is being worked on, they know its a.NET alternative, if they keep quiet then any judge should not uphold the DCMA against mono simply because MS knew it was happening but waited and waited to say anything about it. Its the same as if you were being robed, you held a gun, but waited untill months later and shot the rober walking down the street, it just wouldnt hold up. But then again MS has the money to bribe....er i mean give campaign donations.
How many people vote KDE? from toying with it, maybe it is good for someone totally new to the linux desktop, but im amazed at how many people, that claim to be geeks like KDE. I think its ugly, clunky, and mere eye candy. I have hated kde since the first time i used it, and while it has come a long way, its super ugly.
Considering its for a common desktop, id have to vote gnome.
While i was far from the only IT person, I was the only IT person to support one product at a LARGE world wide company, and for the whole state that the main office was at, I used remote control heavily. I had so much work to do when I started i thought it would never end, but when I started remoting the machine (either that or ALOT of footwork) I got everything so caught up a year after i started i was able to come in at 10am and leave at 2pm for the day:) remote the servers, remote the users, VNC would work, but we used a package I was also able to push software and updates to the users. I got to where I Was playing more games than I was working. but then clinton happened and the job world started to suck.
I agree, grisoft, its free, and if you do want the pay version, its only what 33 bucks? I think in the long run, the big boys are going to lose out to the little guys that offer free products or products with a very reasonable cost. Ofcourse big business' needs the write off, time will tell but atleast we have options.

On another occasion he wrote, "I never gave up Christianity until I was forty years of age."

But what's it matter, he was a crack pot anyway.
FULLY support this choice to leave kde out.
It's an excellent move.

Stop developing for KDE, its as nasty and crappy as MS windows.
Thats not bad! thats a damn good thing.

Since fedora is a gay sounding word anyway, let redhat have it, since redhat is gay too.

KDE is proof you can polish a turd.
Uhhhhh, if you actually read the other posts, it was mentioned a few times. But thanks for playing

I cant help but wonder what moron would think that was a troll, but then again, there are lots of windows users that hit slashdot believe it or not.
