You're still supporting the RIAA when you buy used albums. When you buy used albums, you're creating a market for used albums...which means you're making it easier for individuals to buy new albums with the confidence that they can unload them to a used record store in the future.

And how are you playing DRM'd AAC songs on a Clie? Right now it can only be done with either iTunes, an iPod or the upcoming Motorola cell phone that works with iTunes.

In the context of a laptop, a touchpad+1 button works well since your hands stay in one place. Anything more just adds clutter, as is the case with my Dell laptop's 2-button touchpad. My iBook's 1-button touchpad gives me a tighter interface.

That provides no incentive for lazy web site developers to properly code their web pages for W3C compliance. I'd rather see users get angry and write letters and voice their intent to webmasters that they *will* go to the competition if they don't straighten up their sites.

Some time ago, I wrote a very lengthy email to <a href="http://bvmarketdata.com>bvmarketdata.com</a> , a website to which we pay a subscription at our office. Their website is a front end to a database that tracks acquisitions of small companies. Anyway...

The email is archived away now, but the gist of my message was that it was asinine to deliberately code a site to a specific browser when there are international standards available. I then cited other websites with far more complex database frontends that work fine with all browsers. Luckily, our industry group's email newsletter is now promoting the use of Firefox, so that may put some pressure to this particular site.

The people that are buying these are buying it for its all-in-one-ness (sans monitor of course) and small size. I "sold" a Mac Mini to a co-worker when I told her it was $500 and had everything she needed in something the size of a large paperback book. Funny enough, even though she already had a monitor, she upped to an eMac instead.
