Hey, I like your thinking! Or they could open all the windows (Boston's cold in the winter); turn off the heat, and rent personal space heaters and parkas for the low, low price of, say, $100/hour.
What about his ideas in his head for the future of Reiserfs? Or those GPL'ed too? Or are they doomed to be locked away forever (or for so many years that it won't matter) along with his body in prison?
Carbon dioxide doesn't worry me as much (well it's a greenhouse gas, I guess) as the carbon monoxide. How much is getting generated? I guess if it burns very hot then mostly it will be CO2 not CO, though, hopefully. On the other hand if it's very hot you have a heat dissipation problem.
It might seem like a good thing, except that the American health care system is notoriously inefficient compared to other industrialize countries. So the US has to hire more workers for its inefficient health care system which turns out to be worse according to the metrics of infant mortality and life expectancy, than these other, less labor-intensive systems in other industrialized countries.
Scientist could find no sign of the gene in President Bush. The scientists admit that this could mean that, as widely suspected, Bush is actually a simian.
Just got a new Macbook. I tried to install X11 from the tiger DVDs, but all it did was populate/usr/X11R6/lib, man, and include. No bin directory whatsoever. Yes, I can install XFree86 from source, but I shouldn't have to. What was the point of having an installer for libraries and headers if I can't actually run any X clients??
Not to disagree with your main point, but extreme poverty exists in the countryside of China too, which is why China's coastal cities are swelling with people seeking jobs to escape that poverty.
Choice IS a wonderful thing, if there IS a choice. The past decades since the Interstate System started have been oriented to the option you have chosen (flee the city to the suburbs). In the future, I hope we will have a more balanced approach to planning and government transportation spending that will give those of us who choose the city option a real choice.
I'm waiting for a REAL guitar game - where the controller actually works like a real guitar. I could see this happening 2 ways :
1. the controller has strings (ie 6 short strings down in the strumming part) and frets (ie buttons) where the strings would be on the neck.
2. use a guitar that has a MIDI output and write the game that takes the MIDI input as your game controller input.
Sweet, I just installed teh gnetoo on our production server. Can't wait to see the happy faces tomorrow. Hope it finishes compiling glibc by 9am...

Oh wait, that's already in English...
The "hit by a bus" fallacy has been debunked.

ah ok, thanks for clearing that up. Next time we'll get it right for SURE!
So having the U.S. military in Iraq is like having Michael Jordon as a sysadmin?
Well put. In other words wasting an enormous amount of time and money on something that was doomed to fail from the beginning.

since felons lose their right to vote...
Only in four states do felons permanently lose the right to vote.
"You go to war with the software you have, not the software you might wish to have or the software you could have gotten under a Free license."
but, but what if the brain only SEEMS complex because our brains our too simple to understand it?

You have TWO DVD's worth of email? I'm pretty amazed by that.
Psh, "Yanks", what are you from the 1860's?
That's how them folks over on the other side of the Atlantic talk, they can't hardly talk English too well.
I have to reply to myself here just in case anyone has the same problem:
This kind person's post solves the problem
Thank you a lot for that, occy (and thanks to google for referring me to you).

Wrong! And I mean that in the sense of "Correct"!
Ooh..that's hot.
Mod up! Great grandparent IS ironic.

Right, cause every westerner speaks English perfectly.
