Both AVG and Avast seem OK... I recently dumped Panda (total security, with firewall, etc.) for Kaspersky's suite. Panda ate up FAR too much RAM and resources. In addition, Panda's firewall really interfered with some programs I have to use, and so I had to use yet another program (Kerio, ZoneAlarm, Comodo are all OK) for firewall. Kaspersky has caught several bad things (and they were truly bad, not just false alarms) that Panda couldn't, and uses FAR less system resources. I was really restricted with some of the calculations/plots I could do (and that's on a system with 1+GB of RAM) when I had Panda on there.
It's getting so the only reason I shave anymore is to get the cuts, and then dash some lemon juice mixed with rubbing alcohol on there. That fucking burn will wake you up a lot faster than coffee. Plus, the endorphins released when you realize you haven't lopped off an entire lip, or that your head hasn't entirely been eaten half away are SOOOO GOOOOOOD.
Basically, it boils down to: "Apple, in its quest for ultra, super-duper quietness, sets the fans to run much slower than the speed needed to make laptops usable on laps."
Yeah, those hats are dumb (said Eliza Doolittle). However, the bits I saw with the animatronic clothes had no hats on the models. So apparently the hats had nothing to do with the clothes' rearrangements.
One of the things it takes to be good at math is compulsiveness to complete tasks and to pay attention to detail. Those same drives are the ones that make you unhappy in the real world, which is by its nature messy, illogical and incomplete.
How is it that having an urge to complete tasks and paying attention to detail make one unhappy? That doesn't parse at all.

I recommend that Kaspersky be at least tried.
Obviously not the Mac, since it has only one mouse button and can't be as good as the other two...
I'm quite certain that Bush thinks those are some conditions to be fixed with 5iaGRa.

Oddly, I can access gaygamer.net just fine.
Well, isn't that just... special
(not that there's anything wrong with that)
Red Bull and vodka tastes worse than gasoline.
Ah. But what octane?

Very nice use of "boils down to". Kudos!
Is this some sort of "There are only -3 types of people" joke?
0 == 1, you know, so -1 == 0. For large values of -1, of course.
If we held all companies responsible for promises from their CEOs no company would ever stand up to it.
Agreed. And yet, imagine if there was a company which *did* keep promises. Those promises, over time, might actually MEAN something.
Yeah, I'm ronery too.
If you touch anything that is used in a crime, they will be right at your doorstep.
You have a problem with that? What else are they supposed to do?
I don't mean this as a troll.
...and tell it to let down its skirts a bit. Can't hurt, right?
I'd look at the video again, but after a description like that, you KNOW it's slashdotted now.

Hopefully, they can figure out how to put some emotion on those faces!
I don't think 'parse' means what you think it means.
:)
Now you're just being parsimonious. Like the vegetable.

... it looks like *someone* is highly anticipating the release of Debian 'Etch'....
Mimosas (clicky for GIS) fold their leaves up at night and after touching things like my face when I'm mowing the lawn [...]
Man, how *are* you mowing that lawn?
I bet you could count them all on two hands.
You haven't seen his hands, have you?
J'accuse! I surrender to your wit.
XFPortland.
Only ten pages if you wimp out early :)
This goes beyond the beta stage because the RC is feature complete
Erm... Like support for firewire?
