  1. BitTorrent for distribution method not that great. on Hollywood Looks to BitTorrent for Distribution · · Score: 1

This isn't really that great of an idea for consumers. I mean people use BT to downloaded pirated media because they get it for just the cost of bandwidth. Hollywood now wants you to pay for the media as well as supply the bandwidth to help them distribute their product. Sounds like a win-win for them, and not much to gain for consumers. Well, other then avoiding being sued.

  9. Is anyone else tired of that Buzz word.. on EU Moves Forward with Data Retention · · Score: 2, Insightful

Terrorism has lost all meaning to me now, it's unfortunate that such an awful thing has turned into nothing more then a Buzz word and an excuse for governments to spy on their own people. Everyday I hear about fighting terrorism, and people losing their privacy and rights, I feel like its getting closer and closer to 1984. If people weren't so misguidied in their fear of terrorism then the governments wouldn't have the excuses to enact these laws. Terror kills only a percentage of a percentage of what smoking does, or heart disease or AIDS. Why not take most of the money being spent on fighting terrorism and put it to use fight the REAL killers of the world population, because everyone knows, no matter how much money you through at it humans will still kill humans.

    My 2 cent rant.

It's also possible that the Xbox2 will be powerful enough to emulate whatever hardware is missing/needed to run Xbox games...Or simply have built in the hardware the ability to redirect direct hardware calls of the original xbox games to be used on Ati's hardware. Realisticly the two are going to be DX compatible there can't be that much hardware confliction.
