    I'm not an American, and initially when this story came out a couple weeks ago I agreed with handing over control to the UN. After letting it stew for a few weeks and considering the Pros and Cons, I don't think the UN is ready to take control. I believe it does in fact sit in good hands with the Americans, even when American liberty is at an all time low. (Of course I'd feel even better if some country like..

    I noticed 3 comments all similar to this. It struck me, the only reason that anyone is comparing it to organized crime or using henhouse metaphors is because the first suggestion was for "hackers" to protect us.

    It sounds like anti-virus companies are charging us protection money already!

    Thats part of my point, do we really know how much global warming we are causing? I mean do, we have a frame of reference as to how much the earths temp should be rising? Or is the earths climate in phase where the temp should be rising at all? I'm not trying to make an argument for either side (the pro-oil-burners or the pro-save-the-whales). Just trying to stimulate some thought on the subject.

    I know humans are probably causing some of the current global warming that has been going on, but is there any proof that this isn't a normal part of the earths climate cycle? I am all for being careful, and trying to reduce our affect on increasing global warming. BUT. Isn't possible that this IS a normal part of the earths climate cycle? For example the heat up before another ice age?

    Anyone have any actual scientific input on this?

    Indeed, as I understand Dell uses a Just-IN-Time manufacturing process. One of the key needs of a JIT manufacturing process is very reliable suppliers. That also often means dealing with as few suppliers as possible.

    The problem with this topic is that you will only get people who have had problems with their optical devices write in. There is going to be a skewed perspective in the replys towards the devices causing a lot of trouble. ... i think
