Yeah, I remember playing a game on an old Mac... "chase the bouncing ball with a paddle" game where you had to destroy floating bricks up above. I think it was called "Brickles" or something. It had a command in the menu called "If the Boss Wanders by.." that you could call to bring up a very convicing looking spreadsheet.

Bart: Wow, you can do anything out here! Homer: That's right. See that ship over there? [points to a ship with a large satellite dish on it] They're re-broadcasting Major League Baseball with implied oral consent, not express written consent -- or so the legend goes.
I don't know why they can't just build a music store and an EB into the same complex as the theater. There is nothing like killing several birds with one stone.
UPS beat the fuck out of everything. Ground Shipments were the worst because they were the lowest priority and touched the most hands. When packs travel on trucks...they die.
If you want the least damage, you HAVE to ship OverNight. That way less people have time to destroy it. It spends more time on a big plane and less on a tiny truck. Seriously.
Worked (mostly)every time.
some people just have no common sense when using phones and driving, you shouldnt be bloody driving whilst holding a phone up to your ear. get a hands free kit if you really _have_ to talk to someone right then and now. there cant be many things that are _so_ urgent that you cant wait 30 seconds to find somewhere to pull over.
Has anyone profiled these cases for what TYPE of people were actually involved in these types of accidents?
I know that businessmen and drug dealers(another type of businessman..or maybe businessmen are drug dealers at heart) pioneered the field of cellphone/etc usage, but I mostly see everyone with them now... people who Really don't need them.. and the converstations they hold aren't about a deal going down somewhere.
So who loses control of their vehicles? Does it descriminate? I would think a businessman would have more sense than to behave that way...but hey they DO some crazy shirt as well...so maybe it is them!
When I was attempting to join the ARMY I noticed the computer desktops had a pastel and very UNIX-like look to them. Heyyyy...it's CDE!
It was refreshing to see something other than that nasty green color or the silly win95 clouds and tiresome icons you see in the EVERY other office.
It was also nice to see that office workers can be just as inept with UNIX as they can with Windows. Where is that darn icon?!? Oh...you have to click it twice...fast. It's so strange to see people working with computers apparently hating them for whatever reasons. But hey....I hate working with lots of other things...so maybe I understand the resistance.
I didn't ask the guy what they were running on the backend....because...well, he seemed 'Upset'.
I remember reading about the rumors of Capcom remaking the original Resident Evil(Biohazard)and there it is! Screenshots for the GameCube!
And wow...it is beautiful!
Defintely not for the kids.
And still, Nintendo is all about proprietary interfacing. Don't plan on making your cube into a server unless you want to spend alot of effort on their special reduced DVD format.
I think it is just for games.:)

Great collection. There needs to be a "classic slashdot" section, and this would be one of the exibits.

Great idea, I thought!

Concessional Millenium Snackfood Act
That is classic.
"Dude, I wouldn't do that, it's illegal under the CMSA. You could go to jail for circumventing the fascist snack dispersion process"
Umm....let's see here.
Football is the reason that futurama is being cancelled. The NFL stomped on the show like 10-11 weeks in a row.
Some of use NEVER even got to watch it.
I only got to see it just this LAST Sunday. Every other week it was some football game running into "false overtime".
If the audience isn't allowed to see the show, how can we support it? e.g. watch the silly commercials in between...?

Look! They nearly missed.
Yes, but not quite.

I used to work in shipping at a Telco company.

Man....
It's ALREADY been ripped!
These damn h4x0rs!!
Hell yes.
That is why they have been such jerks in the past and why playstation was EVEN born.
I can't believe they would ever license something out!

Yeah... but he will only get a slap on the wrist, remember? :)
I got up this morning and the send/receive light on my Comcast/@home cable modem was having a fit.
Surely Code Red isn't back in full force?
Well...I guess so. Shoot.
Thank goodness I am not running Windows(alpha-numberic soup) as my server.
Linux seems to be a pretty good anti-virus for some things. Eh, Steve..?
