    The interior of my entire house is plaster over a metal mesh. When standing in front of my bay window, I can get a better signal from houses 100ft away than from my AP through 2 or 3 walls made of plaster only 20ft away.

    From outside the house, I can hardly see my signal, but the neighbor's signals are quite strong.

    It's like my house has a tinfoil bodysuit!

    I have something similar. The eye doctor I went to told me it was due to the fibers in the retina separating slightly (quite common, he said). I have no idea why, but it is most annoying to me when driving on a slightly overcast day.

    This is a great game if everyone playing is somewhat creative and has about the same intelligence.

    You can run into trouble if you're playing with people not quite as smart as you though.

    I have run into the Journal Viewer/Acrobat issue a couple of times. The best way to fix it is to uninstall the Journal Viewer through Add/Remove programs.

    Here is Microsoft's Advice on the problem.

    I haven't had any need to reinstall the Journal Viewer. Heck, I don't even know how it got there in the first place!

    I found Publius.org very useful. Fill in your name, then look at your ballot to see a lot of information on the candidates (including links to their web sites, if they have one).

    "Michigan", as you used it in your post, usually refers to The University of Michigan. The thread is from a user at Michigan State University, which you can refer to as "State" in this case.

    Please do not make this mistake again as we Wolverines (University of Michigan) do not like being confused with the intellectually-challenged thugs and hooligans at Michigan State University.

    I think uptime referring to a Windows machine means that the OS has not had to be reinstalled. It should say, "I haven't had to reformat in 400 days!"

    In some states if a party received over a certain % of the vote in that state, that party is exempt from the petition requirement. Each state has different ballot laws though.

    I don't think self-winding provides much power. The battery in my last digital watch lasted 2 years, so it doesn't take much energy to run a watch. I now own a self-winding watch (Fossil Aut-o-matic Signature), and if I don't wear it for 2 days it runs out of power.
