My apartments are like that. Some of the mat least. I know because I and my roommates have gotten into our rooms with a credit card several different times. I think our doors and locks are just cheap, but I know of some rooms where there's not enough gap to work a shim in to get the latch open
Well, I'm a beer snob too;) only my tastes usually run towards stouts and porters (However I'm willing to experiment, I usually buy a different sixer each weekend)
The wheat beer i bought was Sierra Nevada, I wasn't expecting to be wow'd by its taste, I've had SN brew before and while interesting, I don't consider it really exemplary of the various styles they do (a porter, IPA, etc)
If you care to grab my AIM screenname from my profile and we can chat about it instead of going back and forth here =)
I think I may get a sixer of Hefeweizen at the supermarket for drinking this weekend...could you throw out a few brands that are worth trying? I've no guarantee i'll be able to find them here (east coast US) but I know the market i get beer at HAS at least two labels of that variety.
I bought some last week labeled "wheat beer" that was unfilterd and cloudy...is that the same sort of thing?
Places that do that seem to be either lazy or concerned that minors would get their hands stamped somehow (aka by a employee who doesnt give a shit and/or knows the minor) and get in BIG trouble if it were ever found out by the police
This man speaks the truth. One of my friends here at schoool isn't even ON aol anymore but still insists on using the software to get online because its all they know
It's not the access, its the fact that hotmail uses nonstandard HTTP mail methods (from what i gather) that would have to be reverse-engineered to make it work, and most likely would have to be continually re-worked much the same way Trillian does to keep in line with changes in the system. This is from reading the Thunderbird forums and the question gets posed quite often (I'm surprised there ISN"T an extension yet, but apparently no one who's interested has the skill)
And, my mistake on Yahoo, I forgot they made you pay for POP rather than HTTP access a la hotmail
Well fragility aside, I'm under the impression it's not added in due to possible legality issues.
As for which other programs work, I'm not sure. Outlook in all it's flavors, of course, and maybe Eudora? Really the way I see it, there just has to be one mail program (outlook) which comes on everyone's computer that can do it in order for Tbird to come off badly
Oops, meant Hotmail (Serves me right for posting early in the morning)
And not mail programs, per se, but you can download "helper" apps that query Hotmail MSN and Yahoo and present the mail to thunderbird via a mini POP3 server (hotmail Popper at www.boolean.ca is one such)
Since I got a Gmail account I open Tbird maybe three times a week to see if I forgot to forward anything important to it...
The main problem I have in converting people to Tbird is that it has no support for outlook, Yahoo or MSN. And yes, I am aware there are programs to do it, but having to say "Well, NO it doesnt check yahoo, but you can download and configure this other little program to make it work" really doesn't present it in a flattering light.
It's sporadic to me. Viewing at school with arelease from much earlier in the year (too lazy to upgrade and whatnot on my account) I see no problems.
However, using some of the newer Trunk builds (starting afew months ago) I began to see these rendering problems just as this thread of convos describes. Aviary builds don't seem to manifest this, or if they do, not nearly as often
I forget the worm in question (There were a small army on the computer I was servicing) but one of the pieces of spyware on it did in fact add a sizable block to the hosts file including AVG, Norton, McAfee and Windowsupdate as well as security related sites like bugtraq
I wish they'd distribute in MP3 as well as OGG. Rant about open standards all you like, but having to remember to install an extra codec on a clean machine, as well as having to push OGG on anyone who I'd like to send a sample to (i have several ocremix fan friends) is a hassle
Considering the Submitter apparently lives in a high crime area, is it really wise to assume someone who's already tresspassing doesn't have darker things in mind?
When did the parent advocate shooting someone who's trespassing anyway? Also how do you know they aren't armed? that hand in a pocket could have nothing, could be a knife, could be a handgun. Granted, I don't think it's moral or legal to shoot until you're being threatened.
Damn Skippy. I'm computer engineering (Yes, different from Software) and after my first year (transferred in, so consider it soph and jr. level classes).....the Mentor suite (logic design) labs were much more in depth and harder than the craptastic java assignments ("Intro to computing")
Course part of that was the fact that Mentor apparently sucks...but it was still harder.
Bob Jones is just a state south from me, so I hear about them on the radio alot (mostly because they're a juicy target for DJ's to stir up trouble)
As far as I know, they ban any form of PDA starting at holding handS (!!) on campus, as well as interracial dating. How they get away with it, even being a private school, is beyond me. OTOH, why anyone would CHOOSE to attend such a facist school is also beyond me.
I have an HP currently..I'm pleased with its operation and print quality but the cost of cartiges are killing me....I'm done with Canon, I had a bubblejet years back that would NOT print to save its miserable life (the scanner addon worked perfectly however)
Most poeple I know who dislike lexmark had some issue iwth the craftsmanship of the printer---the feed mechanism started eating paper later in life, the print head guides crapped out, things like that. Usually after the warranty was out.
I've had some various Sarnacs (think they do a sampler pack or something?) and found them okay but not GREAt..may give the belgian white a try though
ALso know i can get the Harpoon around here, wasn't sure its repute either

If the warranty isn't voided, why not RMA it and try again?

There was a virus a fwe years back that searched My Documents for files and emailed them out wasnt there?

You think you'll have less of a job, supporting lifetime windows users as they switch to a totally different OS? ;p Good luck.

Finding the source of the crime problem doesn't help you one damn bit *tomorrow* when a pair of guys break in your house to steal your TV.

Yeah except a fair amount of Jeopardy questions are world history, science or other things that aren't really country specific.
Ah, beat me to it, thou fast fingered AC

I'll take a dozen just to keep flies out of our house and porch this time of year.

Epson's next in line methinks.
