Millions of lazy-ass motivationless teenagers (or people in general if you'd rather) might just possibly learn some discipline, respect, and get a badly needed attitude adjustment.
Not to mention they'd get in shape, and very likely learn some skills that benefit in a civilian job (technical skills, for example, as well as the leadership training officers and NCOs gain are highly valued)
Personally I dont txt people at all because my plan doesnt include it and my provider charges out the ass for txts i send as things are or if i went over my allottment.
Most people likely dont see the need for having it. The only person i know who regularly text messaged me was doing it from the back of her classroom, and I supsect that's the major use in the US.
I've seen older (win9x and win2k) installs fragged by "registry cleaners" who swear up and down some key is unneeded or incorrect and then lo and behold, you get rid of about a dozen of those...and stuff starts working funny. Since then I steer clear of any kind of "Clean up your computer" stuff. The only apps I use in that vein are Spybot, Spysweeper and Norton AV
If the corporation is the same as a person then doesn't it have second amendment rights?
Have you ever read any fiction set in the Shadowrun universe (post-apoc scifi) Anyhow, in the timeline leading up to when the ficion "starts' one of the things mentioned is exactly what you propose--corporations are allowed to keep their own armed forces. Cue global megacorp war.
Verizon saleslady: "That cameraphone is just $amount more than the one you selected"
Me: "No thanks, high end digicam for that."
Granted, I WOULD like a small portable digicam, but EVEN then im buying a small camera, becuase it will still be better quality than a cameraphone. That, I believe is the reason all-in-1 phones are so successful. Most people don't really, totally give two shits about whether it does anything WELL, so long as on the surface it seems as if their phone does alot of nifty stuff. Nevermind if it takes shitty pictures (which cost a mint to txt to someone) has a million crappy ringtones (which cost to download) and plays shitty games that have been around for decades on a pad thats ill-designed for gaming
So what happens when some translator or other such employee spills something that is NOT a coverup? Something they just personally feel is wrong, bad idea, WTF-ever it may be. Should they still have the right to blab about it and possibly get people killed or destroy ccarefully laid plans?
I've done support several times for a businessman (small-time) who has a Dell laptop. I can't vouch for his treatment of the device, but he has had to send it in no less than 4 times to have the harddrive replaced after it mysteriously dies on him. No click of death, no drop (that he's told me) just BAM, no POST. Of course the replacement is a refurb, and so it goes and breaks in 3 months. wash, rinse, repeat.
All the people I know who have SFF PCs got them because they were sick of hauling towers to LAN parties, not because you can shove it in a corner and make it be silent.
Those two people who have shuttles have the most powerful machines at our LAN session as well
I note that their email isn't working, and my email server is up, and get annoyed when I insist that something on their machine is malfunctioning? I'd hate to see how pissed off they get when they go to a mechanic about car trouble..
I notice on the clip that they call the company "Id softare" rather than "eye-dee". I have never heard anyone actually say it the first way before...which is correct?
Only those people with no respect for intellectual property rights kept using them.
You mean someone who'd rather use a format everyone knows and nearly everyone supports over another format, which while arguably better, has spotty support in an overwhelmingly large portion of browsers?
Run spybot on an average college guy's computer sometime, and note how much of the garbage is porn based. That stuff doesn't come from CNN.com you know.
In the same vein, 20 small businesses might opt for DSL instead of FTTP if business class DSL is cheaper; performance notwithstanding they may simply not be able to afford that kind of price gouging.
The MikeRoweSoft case was a blatant baiting of MS. That's not throwing your weight around, it's telling someone to STFU and stop trying to cause trouble
How would it help?

Heads will roll.
As has been said previously, his will probably be first in line.
Theirs perhaps, but they still didnt make it.

How else should it be said?
"You should pay better attention" ? Condescending for some people is simple explanation others, and there's no way to tell over the phone who is who
Figures, I only know one person out of dozens who pronunces GIF with a j sound too

What a cocksucker. He should have heard from a lawyer pretty soon after.
Cosmetic? Um...no. Cosmetic surgery changes how you LOOK. it serves no purpose other than to make you more attractive (hopefully)
Eye surgery FIXES something.

As a comp engineering student, my preferences run to:
Metal (Metallica, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Ozzy to name a few)
Swing and Jazz (playd the sax in highschool)
Misc--Flogging Molly, Apocalyptica, DJs Doboy, Darkzone and Tiesto, Milk INC (those last few being trance)
Myself and a friend both picked up the habit of coding to trance streamed from www.di.fm
Not to mention:
Blind Guardian (ENtire album based on the Silmarillion--Nightfall in Middle-Earth)
Stratovarius
Dream Theater
Prob some more but those are the top 3 prog metal bands i like
What photos are you sharing (or perhaps i should ask in what quantity) that 128Kbit up isnt fast enough?

I think doing it TWICE would get a major bitchslapping by the judge who ends up with that in front of him
