because God help you if your batteries go dead at 3000 feet. Personally I'd rather be in a conventional aircraft. That way (assuming there's more than one engine) a malfunction doesnt automatically mean I'm going to crater
They made a pretty good point, though perhaps inadvertantly. What happens if/when you lose the bloody thing? And yes, people WILL lose a 300$ PDA and probaby lose it regularly. I'd rather have four remotes each having some overlapping functionality, kinda like RAID with striping
So, aside from oxidising bacteria, this thing can also undo the side effects caused by them? Gee, i always thought if you disinfected spoiled milk, you get cheese, or somehing close
I hated B&W, but I might give this a shot...and it sounds neat to have them create their own languages...however, the MOMENT i hear one of the little guys spit out something like ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn, i'm reformatting and selling my copy of the game =)
You must be using some pretty off-brand hardware. I installed XP and (thought i did go back and install mfr. drivers later) every last device was detected right from the get-go
Well if you have to email your papers in then I'd say it's fairly easy to tell when word mangles the formatting or won't open it at all

As several people with experience on tanks have noted, a battle tank's armor by and large can shrug off RPGs. The main use for this technology is with lighter vehicles such as APCs and Bradleys, which most definitely can NOT take an RPG hit and keep moving
What's the difference? I mean, what extra effort does it take to make your widget work without a reboot vs. with one?

For the record, Blind Guardian and Metallica are my two favorite groups, and IMHO enough different in style that I don't bother comparing.
I got Nightfall in Middle Earth because i knew it was based on Tolkien's works, then went out and read the Silmarillion so I'd know WTF the songs were about =p
from the article I submitted on the precise same thing, it is said that you can only type a max of 25 wpm. That's great for PDAs or something I suppose, but how can they claim greater effenciency when it's slower than doing it the old fashioned way?

Sadly, Blind Guardian is signed to an RIAA band. But, they do kick ass.
Calc isn't offered at a highschool level where i attended. frankly i dont think we had any teachers prepared to teach it, and even fewer students smart enough.
That works out great if you can do the maths. I outstripped my parents' experience somewhere around my freshman year. Sure they could have gotten the home-school books and taught it to me that way, but i'd honestly rather learn it from someone who knows it.
Stolen from an earlier discussion about C#...way to go karma whore.
I might be missing a joke here ,but why the HELL would you want vac-tubes on a motherboard?

No, actually I have cashiers check's confused with the signs i see at store checkouts that say "cashier's checks"
thanks for the clarification tho
Usually the benefactor pays a legal firm with a cashier's check and the legal firm pays the university.
Cashier's check for a million bucks? Uhh...somehow i dont think you can buy those at the local supermarket
I think you mean Azathoth, the insane blind god of chaos that rules from the center of nothingness.
I can. some of us don't need to be fucked up to enjoy ourselves
Since when are product plugs - blatant ones! - news for nerds or stuff that matters?
Whenever they're about:
1)The Next Big Thing(TM)
2)*NIX
3)LotR
4)Star Wars

Some assembly required

Scenario 2: The next killer game is Linux only. What would happen if say... Doom 3, or something similar, was Linux only?
I'll tell you what would happen, the game publisher/developer would get crucified by hordes of pissed off gamers.

Well considering BHD is based on a TRUE story, i'd say its decent testimony at best.

"Okay, let's do the T-rex next.."
"Why?"
"Why not?"
"...failing lazy students than passing stupid ones."
Bah.
