If Eve is a bike, then instead of having pedals and handlebars to control, it has complicated and unintuitive set of buttons that take a full day of tutorials to understand. Then once you get this bike, you have to ride the same trails over and over until you can get a better bike. Then once you get a better bike you ride a more challenging set of trails over and over, until the boredom is unbearable. Once you get a good enough bike to race against other bikes (or you just get sick of the trails), you find that all the veterans will always have better equipment, skills, and money then you. So only way to way to win at bike races is to get a bunch of friends, sit outside a gate, and beat the shit out of any unsuspecting bikers that come through, and then race them while they have broken legs.

Saying Obama has a child-like view of the world is a ridiculous claim. He obviously isn't going down the diplomacy route for every single situation. If that were true, he would be pulling troops from Afghanistan, but instead, he wants to reinforce efforts there with more troops. Like most intelligent and observational people, Obama realized that when we drop more bombs on a country, and we act more like an occupational military, it's more likely we will create enemies then destroy them. So he is truly taking the approach of "Military action only when necessary" instead of Bush's philosophy of "Convince the public that military action is necessary, even though it isn't."

It's a really BAD precedent to set, to legally enforce the idea that a software developer can FORCE a customer to use their product only in specific ways they outline.

Blizzard isn't really forcing anyone to play in a specific way. They are asking for the right to kick people out who are worsening the experience for everyone else. Are you saying that bars shouldn't be allowed to kick out belligerents who are being annoying, obnoxious, and possibly dangerous? Your operating system analogy is bad one (not saying mine isn't bad either, but it's better) because using "any" P2P software isn't inherently bad at all. There really isn't any evidence that having P2P software on your computer would worsen the experience of people on other computers.

Or imagine if you bought the latest edition of a "Call of Duty" game, only to find out the EULA stated it was illegal to play except on weekends? Blizzard has effectively won the legal ability for developers to state and enforce anything like this they'd like to put in the agreement!

Not that I'm saying that the judges ruling isn't cause for concern, but you are blowing things out of proportion to the point where I don't know how you got modded insightful. I'm sure the judges ruling wasn't "software developers can enforce their users to do whatever the fuck they want." In other words, I'm not worried that a developer will create some ridiculous EULA that will limit my ability to play as a gamer. I'm worried that, as a developer myself, if I write a piece of software that might enhance (not necessarily in the form of cheating) the experience of a game or a set of games in any way, that I will be at their mercy, and can only pray that they don't use this ruling to sue me.

Okay, you think that. Why do you think that? Do you have any information or is it just based upon emotion? Do you have any actual studies to back up your hypothesis or is it completely untested?

Do people need to make a hypothesis for every claim they make? Come on, man. The GP is obviously just using some common sense. If you got attacked by a mugger, would you rather be mugged by an armed person or not? Don't be stupid.

This makes no sense. If a policy fails, regardless if it's a good policy or a bad policy, it still has a negative effect on society. I thought Iraq was one of the most monumentally horrible policy decisions made during my adult life time, but I would never hope that it would fail. Failing would mean thousands of US soldiers dead for no reason, a country left in chaos, and a more unstable and dangerous Middle East. Likewise, if Obama's policies fail, it would entail an economy that's worse than it is now, which would likely raise the unemployment rate, homelessness, crime, etc. In light of these facts, I conclude that Limbaugh is a huge asshole.

They basically were given a kamikaze short course on how to fly, and then were sent on their final mission. My guess is that the gov't used the spiritual connotation as propaganda.
