My mistake, Polish director, but a French film. Sorry, had added this to my Netflix queue recently since I remembering hearing a lot about it a few years ago. But I haven't watched them yet.
Oh man you are batshit crazy and all over the goddamn map! I love it! They should've modded this funny though, not troll. This stuff is pure genius. You've conjured the essence of James Dobson and Mike Tyson.
Funny, I have about an equal amount of Xbox and PS2 games (20ish or so), and I do like both consoles. But if I limited myself to the games you mentioned for either system I'd be a very sad camper. Halo is good, Ninja Gaiden I could care less. Not to mention all the games you didn't mention. And for PS2, not a one of those games did I enjoy (to be honest though I haven't tried Colossus, but I've heard it's very good). I realize you're trying to bash the Xbox library, but honestly you didn't do a good job of promoting the PS2's library either.
It's not the quality of the games, it's the perception of the games which counts. 360 has had the second best lineup I can remember (best being the Dreamcast). But that didn't work for the Dreamcast either. As the PSP, DS, and PS2 have proven, even if you don't have quality games as long as there's a perception that someday you will consumers will still go for it. In some cases that turned out to be true, certainly for DS. As well as PS2 (though to me it still pales to the DC and original Xbox). Remains to be seen with the PSP.
MSIE has been dead for years, and WMP didn't look much better. They were both free products which had significantly better alternatives on OSX. Office isn't the same. It's profitable and it really has no legitimate competitors on OSX. This isn't really newsworthy not sure why it got on the frontpage.
Well, if the arcades are dying, then the editor of Gamepro would certainly be able to tell us. That magazine should know all the signs of going from relevency to being totally worthless very well. Posted on: Jan 06 2006 - 10:11 by Zeb.
People who like western style rpgs are generally bored with the whack-a-mole crap interspersed with nonsensical cutscenes which fails miserably at bringing even a modicum of cohesion into their ridiculous plots which is found in Japanese rpgs, that's all. Different tastes. Some people prefer poorly-animated, androgenous, noseless freaks, some people prefer to stay away from teeny bopper two-dimensional caricatures.
Everquest never had millions of customers. They topped out at about the 450k mark. Right now they're probably around 300k, and EQ and EQ2 combined are probably a bit above the half million mark. That's impressive, but certainly not millions.
I've been to a few stores, haven't seen any core or premiums available. Wasn't looking to buy, just look. I figure I'll wait a few months for the demand to calm down.
Umm, have you played WoW? I mean seriously. They're trying to implement features to make it play like an action game. That's not WoW, WoW is as turn-based as EQ. WoW is not a fast action game as he describes it. WoW is just autoattack with timered abilities (same as EQ- autoattack and spells, or any other MMO to date). Hit auto, punch some macros, loot. The only thing that was mentioned that was WoW-like were they were trying to reduce downtime.
I've heard they were going to put Pandarens in, but they were removed from the game because the Chinese government wouldn't allow Blizz to sell the product in China. Has to do with some law in China about it being illegal to kill pandas. Sounds farfetched, but part of me wonders what would happen in this country if someone did a remake of Duck Hunt and called it Bald Eagle Hunt. Everyone's second guess seems to be speculative (Draenei are mentioned a lot though).
Someone will probably correct me on the specifics, but yes. This all started in about 1980 when a company tried to patent a bacteria. The patent office originally refused the patent stating that it was clearly in their own rules that they couldn't grant patents to living organisms. The company decided to take the patent office to court. It went to the SCOTUS and they agreed with the company forcing the patent office to grant them a patent. So yeah, this is nothing new. Repugnant all the same though.
Maybe they'll do the same thing that Valve does with their Valve Cybercafé program. Would probably be too expensive for small meetups. But would be fine for gaming events, tournaments, and Korean players (that mostly play at gaming centers anyway).
They were musically irrelevant then, they're irrelevant now. A business decision shouldn't affect that.
Yeah, but... Second Life isn't a game.
Why is compression a good thing?
It's not like this is the first Blizzcon, the last one was in 2005.

The 3 Colors trilogy is Polish.
The dark elves will be a playable race according to their website.

That would be an interesting statistic, if it were true.

Greatest comment from that article-

Considering this whole thread is about intellectual property being stolen, I think it's pretty appropriate.
What hard facts are you presenting Sherlock?

I'd say those games are artistic, but not art. Don't know, it just seems like a major grasp to call videogames art.

I doubt it too, but they do have some credibility as gamers. Vin Diesel maybe moreso, and Xzibit just because he's probably a friend of Vin's.

You do realize that Xzibit was a voice actor in Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay don't you?
