Whose money is going to pay for the Microsoft Licenses? Implement a free option and already you have saved a lot of money by not buying into an O/S that is frequently targeted by crackers. I think that assuming Bush will automatically go for the big business option is very cynical. Especially when it would probably put them over budget.. although.. I'm Canadian so what do I know about american politics.. =)

I think we have to take the control of the servers out of the company's hands, this way, the server hosts will have control like a central leader in towns... ie. each server will be a seperate town. This would create more interesting dynamics if you ask me. Then it would truly be more of a democracy, people would be able to choose which server they want to be on, and some servers might have rules for joining them etc..

As a slashdot reader you should know better. =D

People say some pretty weird things about consoles they don't even own.. It's a strange phenomenon in the gaming industry. Those of us who are happy with the systems we buy know enough to ignore the people who say things like that and move on. I've never had any problems with my PS2 and I'm not worried about it failing. The original Playstation never really gave me any problems either, except in it's last years of life, but I mean, I played that thing like a bat outta hell. Just learn to take what people say with a grain of salt and spend your money on what _you_ want. I'm interested in the PSP because I want a new portable music player, as well as a new handheld gaming system. Although, 300$ would be a bit steep for that.. I'll wait a bit until it goes down in price, which it always does.
