Can you give me a link about the origin of "top-notch"? I've been googling around and all I can find is that maybe it's related to the winner of a game where you move pegs up a board, which was probably pretty boring but not exactly horrifying. :-)

It says right in the article submission that there are no external licensing fees.

  18. Re:but what about my battery on Apple Releases Mac OS X 10.2.6 · · Score: -1, Flamebait

    Well, here's what I saw:

500MHz 2001 iBook - I had no problems with 10.2.4, either with the battery that came with it or with a replacement bought around January or so (the original battery was down to a couple hours)

The 500MHz job finally gave out, so I bought an 800MHz model to replace it. After upgrading to 10.2.4, I had two or three episodes where the battery would drop to 0% a few seconds after unplugging the power cable. Updated to 10.2.5, soon afterward the battery dropped to 0% and would no longer recharge. This made me very angry, that Apple had so long to fix things and did not do so.

I returned that machine and bought a Centrino-based Acer instead. This machine is a dream compared to the two iBooks. In the PC world the manufacturers compete by adding features, instead of gratuitously disabling features to try to make you step up the Powerbook line. Apple can kiss my ass.

Perens doesn't have a point, he is totally full of shit. If he has evidence that SCO is wrongly using GPLed code he present it, otherwise he is just flinging around baseless accusations. SCO has made such accusations, and they will eventually present their proof in court. Perens should do the same or else shut the hell up.

Really, don't you think the idea that SCO should have to 'prove' that they're not misusing GPL code is ridiculous? I demand that you prove that you're not a pedophile!
