1. Suggest plan to have Microsoft pay $1B to lure the top-1000 sites away from Google.
2. Have your revenue sites, currently ranked between 1001 and 2000 at Google, move to the top 1000.
3. ????
4. Profit!
I totally agree. I got my EEE in February and the included OS (Xandros) was running Firefox 2.10 and could only be updated using a command line, plus lots of other minor annoyances. Xandros hadn't upgraded their repository to Firefox 3 yet. If they can't keep FF up-to-date they I didn't have much hope for any of the other included packages.
I'm now running Easy Peasy 1.1 have access to all the Ubuntu packages. I haven't tried it but I assume the Ubuntu Netbook remix would be just as good.
I assume the Sun shareholders still have to vote on the offer. IBM can go away, sharpen their pencils to see if they can make money with a $9.75/share hostile offer. I wouldn't call it over yet.
I agree, sort of. Mozilla support of ogg may encourage it on websites but as long as there is a shortage of devices that play ogg (particularly ipods) it will never become as popular as.png for example.
Now that a computer can read my mind I'm waiting for the mind-reading 'puter that knows to change the mouse focus when I look at a new window. I hate looking at one window while typing in another, especially when posting to/. while I have a window open with an email to my boss. It turns out he's not interested in the goatse link.
that's a good plan unless you've already hit a blocked site. I've heard of an employee who was fired because suddenly his network traffic was crystal clean. The security guys figured that he hadn't actually modified his behaviour so when the investigated and found the proxy setup he was canned.
Except of course that the convicted person was found guilty in the USA, so it would have been the state (or the United States) that would have proven the guilt, not the crown as in Canada.
From TFA, the CAB fears that U.S. broadcasters will simply stream their programming into Canada
Except whenever I try to stream something from a U.S. network I get a message like "Not available in your region". There's no advantage for a U.S network to stream to Canada because the streamed ads are intended for a U.S. market. My guess is that the advertisers pay/view and they don't want to pay for Canadian eyes.
So you want to be able to pay without removing your card from your wallet so you can keep your giant snowmobile mitts on but you also want a passcode? What will your passcode be; 2378354842?
The article summary talks about laptop theft but the article refers to robbery - they're not the same thing. Robbery has an element of violence to it which explains why the number of robberies lower than expected. Walking off with an unattended laptop is theft; using a knife to take a laptop that's being used by its owner is robbery.
This sounds like the Gawker media method where they create starred commentators who can approve/reject posts from the masses.
Thanks Cmdr; you've created a lasting part of the internet. Will you be auctioning off your UID?
I can't fathom it either.
That's fantastic - well done.

Spanked? I expected you to prefer the sponge bath.
It's different because it's Google. I see your free email address is @gmail.com, not @hotmail.com. You've bought in to Google at least once already.
Doesn't "re-kindling" violate one of Amazon's copyrights?

And pringles, don't forget the pringles.
...porn leads the way in internet progress!
There may be some minor spoilers in the review but nothing like the spoiler here.
We have long memories.

you might even be able to come out of the ride before you went in.
that should keep the lines short

here you go.
What I meant to say was, "Do the RIAA's activities..."
grammar corrections? You must be new here...

Actually, my physics teacher demonstrated hos...
Really? I got that demo from my sex-ed teacher.
I believe XBox 360 requires an Xbox Live subscription for on-line play - isn't Nintendo's model better than that?
