As things stand, most all computer science departments are virtually devoid of women who want to pursue that form of study. As a result, even completely incapable women must receive passing grades to allow for better graduation diversity numbers.
There's a lot of times where making a move to avoid impact actually hurts the subject more than just taking the impact. Take basketball for example; when somebody is going to run into you, it's better to just get your balance than to take a step back. Even though the impact is less in the second case, the lack of balance can cause a worse fall.
The only problem with calling all the "aggressive" drivers stupid, is that you're going to get stuck behind 30% more lights if you don't go 15mph over the limit.
Then again, if you're driving aggressively in a SUV you're still going to get stuck behind all the lights, thanks to all of them being slower than molasses.
I made the same mistake when I registered the key as a domain, without any dashes. You're missing the last 4 places. Maybe that's all that would fit.
You already got a reply about getting suspended. I tried hosting the domain with hostgator. They activated the account then immediately suspended it and asked me to send in a copy of my license and credit card. That's not going to happen. Does anyone know where you host this kind of stuff? Where I live the most upstream I get is 20KB/s and that's not going to cut it (obviously).
No, you can't really deny someone advertisement based on whim. This court is obviously out of touch with the real world (and maybe the constitution too). This really couldn't be any less of a free speech issue.
Yeah, I gotta agree with "screwmaster" (and I'm hoping he's into carpentry). Reporting someone elses income is always snitching, especially when you do it wrong.
That's simple copyright law. The DMCA says that whoever hosts or links to a infringing material is also breaking the law. That's why everyone got hyped about it being illegal according to the first amendment and such.
Youtube was simply banning these videos before, but I think they realized they weren't going to keep their audience long by doing that. It's probably in their best interest to just make a deal with viacom.
It's Real, but not unique. DirecTV has problems with shortages of their hd dvrs, and I'd guess DishNet does as well. Since HD standards were set a few years ago content providers have been complaining about how they are going to lose millions on the new equipment they need. Meanwhile, the manufacturers (sometimes the same company as the producers) are raking in the money on HD sets.
Just wait until NTSC channels start going off the air, the electronics industry will really rake in then.
Sorry, Native 1920x1080 @ 60hz REALLY does look that much better than 720x480 @ 24fps.
It probably has something to do with more than twice the pixels, and frame rate.
Sure Sony, Samsung, and the lot of your highly acclaimed tv manufacturers are still making 768p sets. That doesn't mean you have to buy one. Get a Sceptre, or if you have more to spend a toshiba.
In windows xp when hibernation is enabled via the control panel, a S3 state will automatically shift to a S4 (hibernate) after a period of time. That seems to be what the article is talking about with the "S3-induced hibernate/deep sleep" phrase.
I was going to be nice, but since you're the third slashdotter to mention that all your music is legal (woohoo): here. Of course you dont have pirated songs on your iPod. If you were smart enough to pirate songs, you wouldn't have got an iPod.
Bah, a real man would refuse to wear his seatbelt out of principle.

How am I not surprised that an anonymous user isn't completely diluted like most of the population?
That's why digg doesn't work, no anonymous.
They're funded by the public, and the people running in the primaries are seeking public approval for a job that will be paid by the public.
That's 3 publics to one private... care to continue?

Well, I'd hope she would quit writing. At least then we wouldn't have to put up with all the stupid kids running around with glasses and broomsticks.

Giving quite good deals in exchange for consumer loyalty is rutine in todays market. Just look back to amazon's Thanksgiving day $100 360s.
That's what Amazon stood to gain by sticking to their contract, and that's what they'll lose.
They can't look back that far for articles, it was posted NEARLY 24 hours ago.
Ah, but the police will outsmart him once he has become mentally unstable enough to turn himself in!
Better order that apple.

GM is a american company, and they mostly sell cars to people who aren't smart enough to find a good import car.
Funny, I'd rather ride my bike than a Merc SUV :)
Those ML series are so ugly.
Obviously you aren't in touch with the american consumer :)
Would you like to supersize your classic triple to go in your h2?

He'd hardly be God if He let everyone else make the rules.
Come now, Slashdot doesn't give the karma-poor mod points. :)
It is funny that an AC got modded +2 for being too scared to call out the "idiot mods" to post with his name.
they were founded in 1999, that doesn't mean they had a product that did this in 1999.
