If the technology is used for bad purposes, are the creators liable for it? Place the blame where it belongs, squarely on the shoulders of China.

If I sell a gun to man, *knowing* he's going to go home and kill his wife with it, I'm morally responsible for the crime. I'm probably legally responsible for it as well.

But in the corporate world of moral relativity, it doesn't matter if I sell to a policeman or a terrorist. It only matters that I made a few bucks off the sale.

Yes, the man might have been able to get a gun from someone else. But he wouldn't have gotton it from *me*. And if more corporations/businesses acted with a modicrum of moral responsibility, he wouldn't get it from anyone else.

There are visual cues for "invisible" sounds, like the nose darkens, the throat turns blue and the dots appear on the cheeks for various sounds. Watch the demo.

A couple years back I had the pleasure of going on a lengthy tour of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation and their cleanup efforts.

I think people would freak out if they realized how careless the gov't has been with nuclear waste.

For instance, the underground tanks they stored certain types of waste in were set up in a series. When tank one fills up, it spills over into tank two. When tank two fills up, it spills over into tank three. When tank four fills up, it spills over into the ground.

Oh, and the tanks were only meant to be used for 20 or so years and they've been used for more than twice that.

Then there's the waste that's being stored in what amounts to coffee cans.

But I did have a bunch of crap CDs, some of which were AOL CDs. So I taped them together and went as AOLandfill. Had about strips of 6-7 down each a leg, a sort of vest and a couple on my forearms. Truth be told, it did look like some low-rent Power Ranger battle armour or something, but once I said the name, people thought it was funny.

I also got to use pickup lines like

Voters here in Washington(or rather, voters outside King County) have repeatedly cried out that they want their transportation problems to be fixed by the government, be it new roads, mass transits, whatever.

Unfortunately, they've also repeatedly said they're unwilling to actually *pay* for any of it. The most hilarious part is that they're unwilling to spend money to fix a "Puget Sound Problem." Given that Puget Sound has been paying the bills for the rest of the f*cking state's transportation for years, it comes off as a "I've got mine" attitude.
