Also, check out Help -> Mouse for more mouse gestures. Once you get the hang of it, they are indispensable.

Improvement is always welcome tho. Now all we need is someone to spruce up the remaining links and we might have some hope yet.

Interestingly, I have seen some PCI soundcards quited with an SNR of >90 dB [Philips, Hoontech.] Are these for real? PC mag tests seem to verify so...

The correct poewr rating is 505 watts RMS [Root Mean Square], which is what the speakers can handle on a continuous basis.

Don't be swayed that marketing term known as PMPO [Peak Music Power Output] - what the equipment in question can handle/deliver over a very short period of time, typically measured in milliseconds.

Yes, WinMX is P2P - when it works. Sometimes you have to wait an eternity to get a file that you might grab thru Kazaalite in a flash. I suggest you install Kazaalite alongside and use both.

Yes, it is kinky ;-) If you have a P2P app [such as Kazaalite] you can find all the episodes floating around. But I love the series for its humour, too. Much more engrossing than Pikachu *grins*

    Worth buying.

POV from a helicopter. Close in on an SUV cruising the freeway along the seaside at 90 mph. Inside we see a man at the wheel, and his family. He is obviously quite excited over his new gadget, the Web Talker...

Man: Honey, you should see this website I discovered the other day. Full of News for Nerds, Stuff that matters, it is pure nirvana for geeks like me!

    Wife: Yeah, whatever.

The man makes a face and loads the Slashdot homepage on the Web Talker.

Man: Look dear, they are making robots in China that can do Tai Chi. What else would they think of next?

Wife: Are you sure they weren't hinting at their inability to get them to move any faster? Like, so they could do something productive???

Man sighs, then tunes out wife and loads another article. Inside, he finds very little info on the matter. Fortunately, a kind-hearted AC has provided a link with more info. He begins to load it.

Man: See, not all the world is decep...

Suddenly, we hear a loud "Eh. The goatse..." emanate from the speaker, followed by screams of pure terror. We zoom out to safety as we see the SUV lose control and run straight off the cliff.

Foobar2000 has a new homepage. Version 0.3 has also been released.

For those wondering what to expect, foobar2000 has a minimalist interface, but it does the job. CPU usage is very frugal and your MP3s can sound noticeably better. Why? Because clipping prevention is built-in, removing any distortion induced by overly loud signals.

I am currently running 0.3, and it's a beautiful piece of work. If you want a multi-format player that runs unobtrusively in the background while you do your other stuff, then foobar2000 is for you. At 168 KB, it's worth trying out.
