Mostly I just wanted to mention Sneakers and assumed often people have poor recollection so hazzarded a guess. I'm sorry if I offended your delicate sensibilities.
I believe users of the google toolbar already send something like moderation data back to google based on how much time they spend at each result if they opt to. It would be far too much trouble to hit "Informative" or "Insightful" all the time. Who is consciously going to moderate information on iambic pentameter, for instance? I wouldn't be suprised if google already accomplishes this with session cookies as well for people not using the toolbar.
And soon they will be replaced with vocal synthesizers like Vocaloid that will allow future Britneys and Justins to focus sorely on being pretty and making wadrobes "malfunction".
What is up with the American fear of quotations? Honestly, this is entirely annecdotal but so many Americans seem to assume they mean more than they do. As if they denote passive aggression or something.
Frankly I see it as an indication of the poor state of public education in the country.
Yes, now you too can have your computer and all your control surfaces in one box! Why? This is about as perplexing as Creative Prodikeys. Nuts & Gum: Together At Last! Also all the hoopla about being "open" is really just the fact that it's a PC that can run Steinberg VST/VSTi.
This is just expensive and unnecessary. The reason people buy All-in-One systems is because they're either portable or cheap. This is neither. I'll take a 12" Albook, M-audio Firewire 410 and Novation Remote 25 thanks.
I think this probably some of tDR's worst work. By comparison the Warpmart, the mail order store for Warp Records, is really great. With good search facility, colour-coding by artist and a pretty straight-forward interface. Although today Warp's servers are going a tad slow.
Moderate this as flamebait if you will. But I think we all know that in the history of the USA (and USSR for that matter) space programs have only really served as jingoistic propaganda. The scientific research is only a by-product. During a time of apparently great terrorist threat and huge federal spending I don't see how it is at all practical.
That's all well and good before an election but how can the American people pratically afford it? Space travel is not free and a manned mission to Mars doesn't seem to be in line with the budget. Bush is doing some hardcore run-away spending. I don't see how all these things will work out in the end. Maybe God told him the answer?
What would kill the iPod for me would be something with the form factor of the iPod that also had PDA and cell phone functionality - especially if it used Bluetooth to connect to a cell phone headset and either Bluetooth or WiFi for internet access.
Unfortunately most people just want an MP3 player. Sounds like you want a Treo 600 with a big hard disk. Bluetooth hdds anyone?
I can see a positive side to this. It forces people to take a break to get up and stretch while the commercials are on. I think all computers should have commercial breaks as to promote better health.
So much for "open discussion", now we're down to mud-slinging. Come on, tell me what a bad "liberal" I am. How am I destroying the world? Embrace your inner Ann Coulter and just lay it on me. I'll even give you some fodder! I'm a big faggot who loves his Canadian socialied healthcare. I know lotsa HIV+ people who live off the system to pay for their drugs and care while they die slowly. We should just kill those leeches, leave them to die quickly. It's their fault for "choosing" the lifestyle. I bet some of them are muslim too and therefore INSANE.
Come on, lay it on me. If you're gonna lower the level of discourse I'll go right down with you ASSHOLE.
Ironically you're response is the standard schoolyard rhetoric for those unwilling to actually engage in open discussion. So, really, how is Ann Coulter not partial to her own politics?
The whole idea of lumping politics she doesn't like into "liberals" *scary organ crash* is absolutely infantile. She moans about "liberals" slandering "conservatives" and yet writes a book titled "TREASON: Liberal Treachery From The Cold War to The War on Terrorism". How can that kind of contradiction not make you laugh? Anyone with half a critical mind can determin that she's an extremist voice with highly suspect credibility.
Might I suggest that the world of poltical views is a highly complex disaggregate system? NOT a binary world of "liberals" and "conservatives"?
A Babelfish would be handy too.
I think they should change their name back to Gateway 2000!
What about the last two versions of OS X? They weren't exactly cheap. Plus the hardware premium.
Homosexuality existed before over-population. I don't screw guys because I don't want to make babies. Otherwise brilliant.

Wow, do you work in a comic book shop?
You don't mean Sneakers, do you?

I can't agree more. Many amateurs don't understand sound and how it works. They just wanna know how to slap and look cool.
Idoru anyone?
Whatev', it's a Clie UX50. And not even sold domestically outside of Japan. Good luck finding a replacement battery after all that superior use, mate.
Frankly I see it as an indication of the poor state of public education in the country.
Much like presidential elections.

Why yes, that is the sound of my eyes rolling.
Until then most stuff continues to look and function amateurishly despite having great code behind it.

Schoolyard or not, I make it a point not to waste my time with people whose first response is a label. And yet you do.

She's not a feminist, she's a bigot.
Ann Coulter deserves to be back in the kitchen, where she belongs.
