Lies. A single tea partier holding a sign referencing "tea BAGGING" is not the same thing as that person labeling the GROUP "teabaggers". If you have any credible proof that any tea partier referred to themselves as "teabaggers" I'd love to see it. If you were to say that tea partiers used the word teabag first in any context related to their group then you *might* have a case... although I am pretty sure I can troll the internet and find some earlier example of someone on the left derisively referring to them as such. Oh...and exactly what services do they want more of? Unless of course you are referring to the government actually doing its job of protecting the borders....

  2. Re:The pilots were incompetent on Trojan-Infected Computer Linked To 2008 Spanair Crash · · Score: 1

That isn't how I read the article... the trojans were infecting a central maintenance computer back at maintenance headquarters and would have absolutely no idea of the flap status during the take-off. The issues are completely unrelated. While it is interesting that such an important computer (saftey-wise) was so infected, from the wikipedia article and the accident investigation report, it doesn't seem that maintenance had anything to do with the crash at all. This is a simple case of pilot error. The pilot and co-pilot did not complete their take-off checklists having omitted placing the flaps in the take-off position. This is backed up by the voice recorder (they could be heard skipping over this step) and from the data recorders which record the positions of all the control surfaces. The ongoing lawsuits in spain likely have more to do with finding more people to sue than actually accepting what really happened that tragic day.

I have found precisely one app that hasn't worked on my phone (a flashlight app that was designed for the Motorola Droid to power on the camera LED Flash and use it as a flashlight). I had no reason to think it would work on my Incredible but decided to try it anyway... it didn't work... big deal. Of the 60 or so other apps I have installed, every one worked on my phone and I doubt they were all designed to work on the Incredible which had been only out a few weeks...

Which I think is the really interesting (but buried) story in all of this... no one seems bothered that Apple has admitted that they (accidentally?) had a software "bug" that overstated the reception strength and that this has been in place since the beginning. If your car was fudging your mpg favorably or your thermostat was falsifying its readings to show you that it was cooling the house better than you thought...wouldn't you be pissed? I can't believe more people aren't as outraged by the "software glitch" as they are about the antenna [lack of] design.
