That only works with an exponential resource curve. Land like just about every other resource is limited. When space runs out of those resources you drive prices up. I understand thats why we went off the gold standard, but even today the curencys worth is tied to the assets and resources of a coutry, otherwise why wouldnt a 3rd world country just print all the money they wanted to buy food etc.. Increasing the supply of money doesent change anything in the long term.

I would. Think about all the things that you would be able to acomplish. The colinization of other worlds (Granted if you only travel 1/4 the speed of light, the closest system would only take you 160 years to reach).

The last 10 years of your life in a nursing home is going to suck anyhow. As for the social and scientific stagnation, lets face it things are only getting worse now, so why not. And as for the economic devistation, lets really look at things as they are right now, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Inflation cannot be held in check. That $30,000 home your parents bought is worth probably over $150,000 today, when you are your parents age that will probably be 1.5 million. What happens to all the people that live in apartments etc. that dont own property or have financial savings, they will end up our homeless. I beleive that we are heading for a financial colapse here in the next 50 years or so and we will have to re-think our monitary policies and end up more of a socialistic society. Just my 2 cents.

I would think that it would match GCC bug for bug, if it didnt match those "Features" one for one, then it wouldnt be 100% compatible. Besides, if they wanted to make it 100% IA32 ABI compatible, they would have just written the compiler that way and say its more standards complient then GCC.

Well there are other stumbling blocks in the way at the moment, im looking for good information about the ford eec-v as well for the MP01 code revision, along with the map and data locations in the eeprom. I have the JTag and have allready dumped the bin. Emulating shouldnt be a problem throught the paralel port but i still have to build the interface circuit, ODBII is the easiest to implement out of everything (standard serial connection) and that circuit is allready built. Id like to integrate everything into a PC104 SBC in a small nice box i can bolt underneith the dash, but finding one that has a video card that i can find the spec sheet on is allmost imposible. Its about a years project alone working on it part time with access to all the information I need, if i cant find the information I need though it will be hopeless. It would take longer to build then I would have the truck.

It is going to be hooked up to the ODBII port and display data in 3D bar/line charts (like fuel injection maps, engine load by rpm, etc) as well as a few other functions like a mp3 player and mabey video. I plan on adding modules as I go so it will be modular and upgradeable. Eventually i plan on integrating it with my PCM so i can change maps on the fly. VESA of coarse is out of the question for display. Thunking back to real mode to update the display is sooo 1995 :)

If they were comperable say an accord or camery then that stigma would fade fast. On a side note, why would I pay 50k for a M3 when i can get a much faster/nicer car for the same price(Vetts, compleatly restored muscle cars, etc..) Dont get me wrong, I like the M3's and even though about purchasing one a year or so ago, but in the end I bought a Ford Lightning.
