I like the computers that beep whenever anything at all happens. If my PC made that much noise when I was trying to use it, it'd quickly be sailing out the window, futilely beeping to its doom.
Band Of Brothers was pretty close as far as I can tell (from the untrained eye of someone who was never a) in the military or b) in a combat zone).
Um... No offense, but then you're not really qualified to say that, are you? I mean, you're at least as unqualified as the people coming out of the Net or Swordfish and marveling at what people can do with computers, right?
I'm not sure what the original poster's talking about, but Who shot Johnny Rock had you as a PI, shooting at a video screen, ala Lethal Enforcers (but with a story)
First of all, I've only played the multiplayer game, and I would not be surprised if it far outpaced any parts of the single player campaign. There's a ton of people complaining about the lack of story, but I really see no need for one.
Of course you don't see the need for a storyline if you're playing only the multiplayer campaign. Stories get in the way of multiplayer (usually). However, there's no reason for there not to be a story in the single player game. There should be a reason to press on to the next mission besides having a new place to blow shit up. Not having a story in a single player campaign makes the game seem rushed and half-assed.
Read the user names again - it's some script that generates a lot of different names and posts with them. You do have the freedom not to read it. Don't click the link. Personally, I find it hilarious, but that's just me.
Anyone posting that many times doesn't care about karma... Besides "killing your karma forever" is a litle melodramatic. I went from terrible karma to good karma in 2 days last week...
I hate you and I hope you eventually look like the goatse man.

Thanks for the correction - I realized that as my finger descended toward the mouse button with the cursor hovering over "submit", but alas, I had not enough time to dive for my digit in an attempt to divert it from its path, which would most certainly lead me to ridicule and self-loathing.;)

Because they were already using the teddy bear costume to turn you into a statue:)
I don't know if I'd call it the best game ever (best sports game, almost definitely), but it's a testament to the staying power that almost every semester at school we still play through a season of it on a roommate's emulator.

AFAIK, the first SMB game w/ Yoshi was Super Mario World, and the special game pack you're talking about was "Super Mario All Stars", which had SMB 1, 2, 3, SMW, and the "Lost Levels"

;)
So that made you what, a super nerd?
Gannoc's not available right now - I'm his assistant. Feel free to e-mail me that method, and I'll get back to you when we've secured a buyer.
How is this any different than the 10000 "Let's make a game!" posts seen on messageboards everywhere?
"Clicks and mortar"? "E-tailers"? That alone was enough to keep me from reading the article.
How do you know it's not coming? As you said - nobody expects the Spanish Inqusition!

I don't understand. Are you saying that nerf guns aren't cool?
Alright, boys - take away his geek license.

Well? Do they?
Most of the software people I know look just like Hugh Jackman, get to hook up with Halle Berry, and routinely do neat secret agent stuff.
Or at least I wish they did. Office Space has the most accurate portrayal of programmers I've ever seen in a movie.
cleetus, read slashdot much? Taco posted this.

Actually, Valenti states $80 million for a movie and 350K for a CD.
