I found the issue I was thinking of, it wasn't a buffer issue but still an RPC issue.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/defaul t. asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-010.asp/quote Microsoft has provided patches with this bulletin to correct this vulnerability for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Although Windows NT 4.0 is affected by this vulnerability, Microsoft is unable to provide a patch for this vulnerability for Windows NT 4.0. The architectural limitations of Windows NT 4.0 do not support the changes that would be required to remove this vulnerability. Windows NT 4.0 users are strongly encouraged to employ the workaround discussed in the FAQ below, which is to protect the NT 4.0 system with a firewall that blocks Port 135.
Computers care for more than ONES and ZEROES in the same regard that I care for more than A-Z Those ones and zeroes only mean something when they are put together into words that mean something, just like the alphabet.
And not all computer languages are the same at the ONES and ZEROES level. There are improvements to make there as well.
Well I once ordered a replacement CPU fan from dell and got a faceplate to a completely different PC. I guess Bob put the wrong part number into the order system.
On a related note have you ever gone to a 24 hr supermarket at 3 in the morning and when you're ready to leave you can't find a cashier. Happened a few times while I was at college. After looking around for 5 minutes I'd just grab a bag and leave. It was usually just a magazine or something.
I got a rebate for my cable modem from circuit city if I signed up for cable service through circuit city. I didn't even have to mail anything. The circuit city guy said they took care of it. I was kindof sceptical but a couple months later we got the checks. I wish all rebates were that easy but they're not.
I do a lot of rebates. Only had problems with one, but got the money after a few calls. It was for 120 bucks so it was worth the calls.
It's not the dollar amount but the feeling that's being compared. Who gets excited about the $10 beauty contest in Monopoly? It's almost a disappointment.
And I thought it was $20, but since it's been so long odds are that you're right and not me.
A cool Xbox mod would be awesome. The xXx on the top is nice with the green light in the dark. But during the day that thing is ugly. Would have been sweet if he picked a cooler case to start with.
If I were to ever mod an XBox with a standard electronics case, I think I'd get a Sony case. That would just be funny I think, plus it would match all the other Sony stuff on the shelves. My GC and XBox just look out of place right now.
There's a difference, but the real question is was the proper one used.
Unless you have kids. My son decided to start talking on the phone more and watching minutes got old real fast.
Just had to give crappy Qwest its props.

If I'm not mistaken NT4 has an RPC buffer flaw that cannot be patched and will not be patched. Not the only secure MS OS.
Do you not get junkmail in your real mailbox on a daily basis. I do and that's not free for those mailers.
FreeBSD is the best linux distro!
Tempted to make a remark about bad math.....

I think it hurts AGP-motherboard owners than AGP-card owners
Wouldn't it be logically to say that AGP-card owners are AGP-Motherboard owners so the groups are hurt the same since they are the same group.
Also AGP-Motherboard owners that don't have AGP-cards probably aren't getting the current high end now so the new standard doesn't effect them much.
Why do you think he paid for Windows for this?

But isn't there no state income tax in Tenn?
what does ease of Desktop upgrade have to do with software requiring upgrades?
How does that get insightful when it doesn't make sense?
They wont be buying them either..
Since they couldn't possibly have data to save.
Except now -- present tense
you had -- past tense
That's my guess
At 100/full duplex it should be connected directly to a switched port and therefor no collosions as there is nothing to collide with.

You call it WorstBuy yet the manager seemed to do what was right. Seems like a good store to me.

So instead worry about the web server security on the Tivo site. Someone hacks one site and wipes out all the scheduled recordings for all Tivos.
I got the popup but not the site, argh

Same thing happened to me....haven't tried to install it again yet.
