I did something similar. I used a pair of Senoa 802.11 access-point/bridge radios with some big dishes at each end for the bridge. I had to put up a 60' tower at one end. The whole setup getting someone else to do it ran about $1500+. You can use a Linksys WRT54G with the free Sveasoft firmware for your customers.

They are going to stop it so it's now temporary.
The "average" PC user doesn't give a flying fuck about the "Open Source" movement or Linux or whatever.
The MAJORITY of "average" PC users,
at least the ones I've met,
actually like
free software
no viruses.

Buy your next computer from a supplier that offers you a choice other than Microsoft
otherwise you will just have more of the same.

Well, where do you suggest that we move to?
I don't know. I've heard some interesting things about New Zealand. I'm sure it has its drawbacks too.
...that no one will want to live here anymore.
Here is a prime example.
Thomas Edison was violently opposed to AC
even though AC was much better for power transmission.
Edison thought that everything should be DC.
Great woo hoo I got a CD. Now all i need is a pc, monitor and keyboards.
If you're building a Windows machine
then the hardware us the cheap part.
I did the same thing, but to just a couple of machines.
The funny I noticed
is that one of the Best Buy display machines
was using a grub bootloader.
Who needs nuclear weapons.
To differentiate between the two maybe we should use a different spelling like SPHAM or SPAGHM or something like that.
Or you can just use synaptic.
