That's a bad idea. So I'm a user, I guess I'll just write a script, use sudo to change the ownship of the script to root, then use sudo to cp it to/usr/bin/date (or whatever). Or even better, I'll write a script, use sudo to chown it to root, then use sudo to chmod it to 4777 (I assume "etc..." would include chmod). Woo hoo! I can do anything I want on the system. In general, chown and chmod are very bad things to sudo!
Also, having the responsibily of root is a bad idea if you don't know what you're doing (unless you really don't care about your job). Not to mention, the person who screwed up the system is not the admin; I am. So I'm the one that's responsible for fixing whatever the user with root access breaks.

I guess I don't understand. It's always been law that you are entitled to 1 free credit report every year from each of the 3 credit reporting agencies. In addition, you get a free credit report every time something negative has been added to your report (the reporting agencies are required to inform you when something negative has been added).
I've been ordering my credit reports at least once a year for as long as I can remember.

Solaris as open source would have a better probability of killing off weaker nix's like HP-UX (memory issues) or AIX than Linux...
