Been using these in manufacturing for years now, and they are great. Such a simple concept, but never practical for the home user. Perhaps this will now change.
Just wait until you can 'print' with cells.. make your own steak n fries at home..
Havent eaten any since college days ( a good 15+ years now ) but for some odd reason was in the mood about 11 pm on the 5th and went out to get some from the local grocery. ( and of course prepared the same way as i did back then.. with burger, their seasoning and just enough pasta sauce to make it wet )
I say most, as sometimes they are honestly missed until its too late, especially when you are talking *small* companies or private individuals. I would not want to start a bad precedent where the little guys get screwed.
But we do agree there should be some penalty for people waiting to let others do the dirty work, then profit off that.
If a large corporation delays filing a complant until *after* the technology has been adopted and is in wide use "oh, gee, you owe us money" i think they should lose most their rights for compensation. ( notice i said most, not all )
They knew it was in violation in the beginning, they should have spoke up long ago.
Whats next, a 'later' Blade Runner? Or was his term 'predetermined' like the others... Who knows.. Perhaps he can search out the real Tyrell and get his ( their, cant forget Rachael ) life extended....
I wasnt dissing the ]['s. Just commenting on funding.
Wouldnt mind having another ][e myself.
A lot of schools cant afford to 'upgrade' anyway. Thats why they still have apple ]['s.
Problem solved.
Shouldnt be trusting another persons network in the first place.
Blah, who needs it.
Is it even legal to look for possible holes anymore?
With all the legal issues and suits flying around, id be sort of afraid to admit i knew something.
Right, my words exactally.
Plus *BSD and linux share TENS OF THOUSANDS of applications... These other alternatives dont have anywhere near that.
Funny how far we come, where linux and bsd are considered standards and we talk about alternatives to THEM.

Personally im sick and tired of this 'IP' garbage.
The next person that threatens a suit should be shot on sight.
The trick is to get the effects of an exploit to be nil.
Sure, you can get in, but if you cant do any damage ( like a ROM based OS for example ) then its not worth their time.
Sure, i want to sign up for that deal.. no thanks.
You would have thought the same thing for 'regions' on DVD's, but the public didnt form a lynching gang on that one either.
Most people are sheep. The rest of us have to pay the price.
Block Brazil totally for being such babies. Let their citizens rise up and overthrow the morons that are apparently running their government.

Considering the price of SBS, no they wouldnt be idiots.
Not that I'm a fan of anything microsoft, but trying to run a BUSINESS like he was planning on doing isnt a good idea.
Personally i would have chosen BSD for the server, but SBS would make a lot of sence. That is what its for, SMALL BUSINESS.
That was sort of my thought too. " why is he instaling XP on a server ? "
Seems to have gone down in flames. Too bad.
