I personally believe that if the government of the US ever introduced more socalized healthcare, it'd be the duty of every upstanding citizen to revolt, and force them away.
No government of mine will ever do this, because a government that would is not mine and does not represent me or my consent.
When I started my degree I kinda belived the whole "We need the funds" thing. However, now that I'm less than a year away from getting my degree I have to disagree. Classes that use to fill up and seat 60 students now are considered big if they have 20, and forget about having to reserve for a CS class, just walk in on the first day and see if you like it. Also department diversity is really suffering, I think my graduating class has 4 girls in it, out of the 60 of us.
The "Parents need access to online content posted by their children" is a meme I've heard repeated maybe 4 times in the last seven days. Is that really true? Are lock makers obligated to provide you with a copy of a key your child uses to lock up a journal?
It looks neat, I keep seeing that it's for OS X, but I can't really find any docs for the OS X side of things, any way you could point me in the right direction?
I don't see the ethical obligation he has to them. Did his contract specify that they got copies he made? This seems to be a fairly clear cut case of them bossing him around.
I'm not sure you grasp the concept of survival of the fittest. If we produce an environment rich in smog, in theory smog eating stuff should love us. Everything changes it's environment in some way, causing things to adept.
That being said humans will evovle or die out, no need be silly about it.
And I'm sure if target needed the business they'd change.

Ban awful background colors, some people are colorblind, we can all choose our background images from the approved list.
Ban complex sites because they discriminate against people with abnormally low I.Q.
This is about as absurd as hitting smart people in the head int he name of equality.
They all appear to be good things, however the government saying that it MUST be that way is the equivlent to them legislating web standards, which is an awful thing.
Target is a private company, with a box full of 1's and 0's sitting in a room, now some judge is telling them that some of the 1's and 0's are wrong because a third party app can't handle it.
Maybe we can do this in a way that doesn't result in communism?
Maybe instead we can do it like we have always done FOSS, you know the way that doesn't require extortion or force. (Things I think open source is firmly against)
Please, the current administration is very liberal.
Nor is this administration facist, no sane sources are trying to claim that they messed with the election, and juding by the amount of protestors I seen around dissent isn't exatly taboo.
This isn't to say I'm a big fan of them (I'm very disappointed with the job they are doing), but I think your labels are a bit off.
