    I am currently having issues that have been carried over from the 2.4 tree. It involves ip masquerading over multiple network interfaces. The kernel log only reads, "MASQUERADE: Route sent us somewhere else." I hope they have fixed that.

    How much it would cost to have yourself and a group of people publicly indexed by your penis size.

    Fifty men have their members examined by a doctor and their length recorded. You then get brought out in Times Square and the doctor puts you in order by smallest to largest. I wonder how much money it would take for the average person to participate.

    Yes, that is a bad analogy. Here is a better one:

    A car is advertised as having a 300hp V8 engine. You purchase it and get home and realize it actually has a 300hp V6 engine.
    The performance is still as advertised, however you didn't recieve what was advertised.

    The Mainframe Linux study put the following machines against each other in a file serving test:

    1) IBM Z900 (AIX,fully loaded), $470,$899
    2) IBM Z900 (AIX,half the memory), $244,416
    3) IBM Z900 (Linux pricing), $393,163
    4) Windows Server 2003 (2 x 900 MHz Xeon), $25,440

    And then proceded to examine a cost per request table. Which showed the Windows 2003 Server clearly winning. Of course the Win2k machine will win a benchmark where the other machines are clearly designed for a different purpose.

    I find that the Winamp visualazations are not very effiecient. I have an Athlon 2400+, Gefore 4 ti4600, and 512MB DDR-400 and I can't even run the visualaztions at 640x480. Anyone know how to get some performance out of it?

    You can only download the last release free of charge. The current release is only avaliable if you pay. For instance, Suse 9.0 is out; however, the mirrors only have Suse 8.2.

    In my opinion MSH, and particularly MSSH sound too close to their UNIX kin. We wouldn't want anyone to confuse a microsoft scripting engine with UNIX's SSH.

    On a modem, 56k does not stand for kilobytes. It stands for kilobits.

    Granted you'll never use your 56K modem to it's capabilities because the high power burns out the phone company's system- but that's another story.

    Valve won't realease a version for Linux because it is doubtful they will support Open GL. All of their press materials and promos call Half-Life 2 a Direct -X 9 game.

    I think people should stop complaining. It was a quite humorous editorial piece on the status of the console industry. I stopped taking it seriously when I saw the image of the fake testicles attached to the Game Cube. If you take it as a light-hearted editorial- it's actually a good read.

    If you'll notice in the video posted above the user should always hold the stair rail. Or have another person hold the handle next to the head restraint.

    As far as losing power while going down the stairs. If you notice the person leans very far back. I bet the motors are so geared down that the machine will slowly creep down the stairs on it's own. At that point you may be lying on your back while going down the stairs- but at least you didn't fall down the stairs.

    Of course, there is also a battery indicator right next to the joystick. If it was telling me I'm extremely low on battery power, I wouldn't want to attempt the stairs anyway.

    Sun has maintained an air of mystery about what specific Linux distribution will form the basis of Mad Hatter, and yesterday Schwartz declined to name the distribution that his demonstration was based on,

    Let me take the aura of mystery away- it's obviously based on Red Hat. If it wasn't I'm sure Red Hat would take serious issue in the product name.
