No matter how deep the OS restriction on the document handling is, it still can't prevent you from putting a camera up to the screen and taking a picture of it.
This has caused much discussion on n.a.n-a.e, including the suggestion that the attack is somehow related to the SoBig worm. The spammers must be hurting if they can devote these kinds of resources to attacking blocklist
I think that the attacker being a somethingawful zealot is more likely.
Oh wow, damn, you completely prove your point about by linking to stories about CNN and NBC. Guess what, Geraldo was FOX reporter (and remember FOX is fair and balanced;)!
And what a neutral new sight, I know every time I want fair news I go with a site with pop ups about Hillary Clinton Playing cards and ads about Ann Coulter's "righteous" fight to revive McCartyism.

And if they use a different provider to bypass my.htacess file blocking them, wouldn't that constitute a DMCA voilation by circumventing an access control?
The funny thing is, is that if you look at the Revolutionary War objectively, it was a war driven by the Elite and fought by the poor (really no middle class obviously).
A big thing was 'enormous' taxes, look at the tax rate in britian and the us. Britian's was around 35% and US was like 2% (may have been 15%, but that doesn't defeat my point). The only reason they rose taxes was to compensate for the price of defending the US.
It wasn't about freedom (at least to those who started it).
This place is the weird place politically, we are openly and obviously Republican, yet the majory of our 3 reps are Democrats (prob. cause ag and ss). There are so many Christian laws here too, like most businesses cant open before 12 on Sun.
Yet, every once and a while, there is a suprise, like Dorgan (i think it was) spearheading this effort (read his debate with the head of Fox). And the public shooting down the effort to allow banks for sell personal info (Big Corps advertised like every commercial break in support of the bill).
Anyway, I reelecting Dorgan (well what theres no green party here:P ).
As a Green-leaning liberal, I was concerned about its 100% hit on Bush with no other alternative...until I did a whois, wonder who on Pennsylvinna Ave would create a website like that?
No, in real life. 83% for both Kucinich and Dean. What a surprise for a/.er.

I would be cheering for Hilary to come out. I can stand/understand being bitched out for not actually paying for half the music on my computer, but to be told that I am destroying the country for supporting gay rights or socialistic health care is insane.

This is less terroristic than the replies and post would tend to make you believe.

Shut up.
I hate to be a troll, but even if the million or so people that have ever visited /. did that, it still wouldnt make a hell of a difference.
We are a minority and in a representative democracy (unless you are closely congregated geography wise) minority are often fucked over.
They wouldnt do that, remember /. is completely objective and neutral :)

I haven't been too disappointed by the SC recently. (but this is in the view of a greenie)
Ya my school has that; one problem, the smart asses like me can just disable the pci card in the bios.
Sad to say, it worked for me on 10.2.6 Build 6L60 on my 900 ibook with 640.
Interestly, it took forever for the screen effects to crash.
...because the community has hacked the hell out it...
if you want an example, i would point to apple's newton, which although no longer produced can stack up to a lot of modern pdas.

Well its not a great suprise, I went to an M$ product demo a month after XP was released.
They were showing Office XP, more specifically Powerpoint, while my buddy and I were sitting there saying, they are trying to kill/replace Flash.
He like to say "shit in his pants" a lot, doesn't he?
