    All mp3's sound like they were recorded underwater...really muddy bass. I`ve tried several encoders and its the same - regardless of compression rate. Havent tried ogg yet though.

    12 years ago i was writing games for the Amiga.

    I didnt get a PC because they were shit. I still think they are shit, but i get paid more to code for them than i did for the PC.

    I doubt that a 3d desktop will make computer haters hate them less, and i doubt they`ll make them more productive than 2d gui`s - or text based interfaces.

    The writeup described the 3d glasses idea as `annoying` although its surely not as annoying as having to spend thousands on new untested technology. Given that my cd writer lasted just over a year before becoming infinitely fussy about which cds it wrote to, i`ll be damned if i`m going to be an early adopter on this nonsense. 3D will always be a gimmick, anyway. Games will be nice, but i cant see how it will ever be standard on the desktop.

    Fair enough! I feel your pain! Not everyone who reads/posts to this site thinks that anything you can scan/digitize/sample is fair game for uploading and 'sharing'! Although it often feels like it.

    Cannabis is not `legalized` in the Netherlands. Possession of a few grams is tolerated.

    If i`m watching a film, and someone else is in that sitation, i dont give a fuck. They should make alternative arrangements, and not expect to take phone calls in a cinema/theater. And if its a call that they arent expecting, they can take it when the film is over, when they get outside. Life goes on!

    You dont need prior experience of falling, seeing as they`d have prior experience of gravity, momentum etc. When you are new-born, you are actually 9 months old. Given that its been shown that children can pick up songs their mother has heard/hummed, what makes you think even less abstract concepts are not going to be picked up?

    Not when it comes to miles per hour. Also, we drink pints of beer. This possibly isnt relevant in the states, where you apparantly get funny looks if you drink more than 2 pints in a day, for some reason.

    Drug sales are a curious mixture of both. Think thats something to do with harmonisation with Europe!
