This scenario could just as easily happen WITHOUT Apple stamping it on the files. Anyone could just put someone else information into a file format that allowed such meta-data and upload it to the web. As a Physics PostDoc I must disagree with your assessment. Griffith's if fine if you want to get your feet wet but once you do you will be lost if you follow his lead. Furthermore, Goldstein's first addition (while it does have typos and problems) is far better than the later revisions (done after his death in the most recent case).
With that said I generally found that doing problems was far better at building intuition than any text. The texts out there all have their own take and generally speaking you have to either find the one that is right for you or just get a lot and make the best of it. I often found that older papers were also invaluable in their insight and simplicity.
While I agree with you that anyone could have shot as high as Obama the point is not that they could have the point is that someone has. Most people, especially children, need a roll model that they can model their behavior on, sad but true.

His bail is obviously being set because of fears he could do more instead of fears he will flee his prosecution which is the intent. If they fear he may commit more crimes they should place him in prison without bail and state as much. As it is they are just playing with the law to get what they want without asking for it directly.
Or, just to give the appearance of being fair, they could be trying to get enough information to actually investigate the allegations. While I wear a tin foil hat as most seem to here, sometimes people are doing what is right and if what he is claiming is true then going to the feds or a trusted authority is the correct action not just posting rants on a blog.

In my field, hard science in academia, women often don't have kids till their mid-40s. This is because there is no time before then where they have a stable enough position to have a child. This puts the child and mother at elevated risk. Furthermore, I (a male) do not feel I can have a child now because I would not have enough time to spend with it. While I am more than willing to give my time for the work I love there does need to be an understanding that working 16 hour days without breaks for weeks on end should not be expected.

I think you might not have seen an important point made by the GP: "start prosecuting agressive SUV drivers." He does not say all SUV drivers are aggressive but that an aggressive driver is wielding a weapon in an unsafe way. Now the problem I see with his statement is the limitation of SUV drivers. Aggressive driving is unsafe even if you are doing it in a motorcycle because you are putting people into situations where they make snap judgements that other drivers may not anticipate.
