The government is changing (back) its definition for its purposes. The companies don't have to attentionwhore about it and can continue using their own definition for their own internal purpose if they want to.

I know its too much to actually RTFA but it actually shows a mix of harm and benefit and is restricted to low wage workers. The summary mixes together links to give the impression of a slam dunk but a lot of the links like the "all-but recanted their initial conclusions" article are actually a little more neutral and don't contain any such words like 'recanted' in them. *sigh* just another day at slashdot I guess.
Humans, at least normal humans, aren't asexual robots who can turn it on and off with the flip of a switch. Sex and eroticism is embedded to our core as one of our primary instincts. Being driven by our sexual impulses all the time, yes even in the workplace, is a feature not a bug as designed by God/evolution. You attempt to suppress this basic drive and it will leak out elsewhere in more destructive ways, ie even deeper perversion or fanaticism. G00gle and other ultra left wing tech companies and modern world in general apparently have forgotten the lessons humanity learned at great cost with its experiences with societal and religious traditions over the past thousands of years.
"Women are victims" is an easy lazy tagline to throw into any story to give it more sociological cred. Its like adding adjectives to pad out the length of your writing assignment.

Its well known that females outperform males in primary and secondary school in traditional classroom settings. All this is is another proof in a long line of proofs that there is a female sex specific advantage in the sit down lecture format and is great enough to overcome any advantage males might collectively have in stem. Where males tend to have an advantage is in some post secondary stem fields especially at the higher levels and then for only a subset of men (the greater male variability theory)
So TLDR this study actually supports the opposite of what it concludes.
All the techies and gurus and talking heads are wringing their hands about runaway AI in weapons and the implications of them spinning out of control but are full speed ahead on board with reasons why we should create this overarching AI Deity to monitor and control speech across entire nations and the planet from on high. I mean, technology that could be repurposed to detect, censor, and extract data about dissidents from any form of expression instantaneously on global scales being somewhere in the neighborhood of concern as robotic guns is not THAT crazy a notion right?

The vast majority of 'abusive' content is not that. The OP implies they are deleting speech. The majority of 'abusive' video examples are amateur porn girls freely distributed to one or more people then suddenly decided they wanted to take back. The very same people that want to impose 'right to be forgotten porno edition' as a felony matter also say that porno and the human body is no big deal and liberating. So logically circulating amateur porn is no different from anything else and if amateur porn has a right to be forgotten then someone like Trump can demand that anything embarrassing about him has a right to be forgotten.
