    That's ridiculous. You're cherry-picking an extreme corner case, and one that requires anything to be modified extensively to be anywhere near useful. For anyone with reasonable expectations (which is a phrase used in Australian consumer law) it's fine for playing Angry Birds.

    Even if you don't have a 4G network in Elbonia or Australia, doesn't mean the device isn't/doesn't deliver on the marketing (it'll do 4G where such networks exist, US and Canada).

    Except that it's being advertised with this feature in Australia to Australians. What it can do in other parts of the world is totally irrelevant to Australian consumers and the ACCC.

    They aren't using their resources in any way.

    Wrong, they're using the product of the artists investments in time, labour and necessary equipment, just like an internet connection is a product of an ISP's investment in time, labour and necessary equipment. Trying to separate the product from the investment is intellectually dishonest because in either case the former can't exist without the latter.

    Exactly. Copyright do not contribute to recouping the costs of production by paying, but still benefit from the result. How is this different from ripping off an ISP?

    You can criticise anything you want any time you want, but don't always expect a positive response because every group has it's share of douchebags (F/OSS is no exception). The Mozilla Foundation advertising on a web page, in a newspaper or by planting little flags in dog turds makes absolutely no difference in law or custom, that's something you've imagined.
