Nobody ever heard about people sending letters ? They do not really take long to write, and usually did not contain smileys ("did not" would be better, because I indeed used smileys in letters because I was used to put them in e-mails first)

The French subbed version exists because the movie was released in France on April 10th, before the DVD was out.
More than 1 million people came to see Sen To Chihiro... in France, a very good result.
How would you like it if some punk stole your car for a year and then claimed it was his forever? Eh?
So, you mean that this guy, who is a car-stealer, would also be a liar ! Damn ! Sure I do not care having my car stolen, but... a lie ! This is really unbearable !! It surely deserve tar'n'gzip, ooops err no, tar'n'feather, to the least.
Well, in case someone would be interested, there is an adaptation in French of some Monty Python sketches... (why do you think I have this outrageous accent?)
The only people who play soccer are those who can't play any other real sport like football or baseball.
Most people who play soccer are actually playing football as it is under this name that they play it.
Maybe you find it hard to understand that a sport with this name consists mainly in kicking a ball with your foot, rather than a sport in which you take something called a ball, but that is not even round, and taking it in your hands...
In the case of the victory of Senegal over France, there is no science : French masterplayer Zinedine Zidane got his injury a few days before this match, without obvious reason.
Many people in Senegal, and in Africa more generally, pay sorcerers in order to put a curse on the rival team, and its best players. This article (in french) explains that : all teams that played against Senegal saw their best players injured for their round against Senegal !
So the scientific method to predict injuries must take into account the power of sorcerers ! Can artificial intelligence really know this information ?
Am I the only one finding strange the line: Obiwan Kenobi writes "[...] New Line Cinema revealed their Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring DVD" ?
So, who will announce the next Star Wars DVD ? Harry Potter ? or maybe Buzz Lightyear ?
What amazes me in the article Roger Ebert wrote is the number of times he compares Totoro with how American animations movies would have treated it. For example here:
The film is about two girls, not two boys or a boy and a girl, as all American animated films would be.
Why does he need to compare the two styles ? They are different, are based on different cultures and history... so they are not the same. As simple as it is.
Totoro is one of the movies I enjoyed most ! I do not care if it is Japanese or American or even Czech, it is just excellent:)
So what? We were asked : What authors (in any genre, fiction or nonfiction) alive today will still be read (hard copy or online) in 2051? Where is it said that we had to pick Sci-Fi authors ?
I remembered hearing in the news that she was dead. A quick google search gave me a link to a page where one can read:
"Barbara Cartland passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2000, at age 98."
Well, some of them are dead, and the question was about writers "alive today".
I guess Amélie Nothomb, Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, Umberto Eco, Paolo Coelho might still be read in 50 years.

fatter, flatter, next word can be flattery...
The most serious Anime I can think of is Hotaru no haka (Grave of the fireflies)
:) )
Watch it if you can (well, and if you are not too depressed

Well, I think he might think enlarging his penis is really easy : just consider how many spam mails explain how to do this...
or try altern.org, free, no ads, accessible via POP3 (and IMAP too, I think)
but may be slow with some servers
"I would go to the building superintendent and
offer him a brand-new barometer if he will tell me
the value of G"
This is wrong
I really like when there is a good explanation like that because...

I am using only the webmail for my Yahoo!Mail account and I get around two spams per month there. On my hotmail account it is 15 spams per day !
Hey, this was yesterday's topic, not today's ! :)

No CowBoyNeal option, but funny question !
the question is not "what if book five were available as an e-book," but rather, "what if book five were available only as an e-book."
This would not change anything for me : I would not buy it anyway. (I might consider reading it if a friend/family offers it to me)
The biggest problem with that zones is that having a Zone2 DVD does not mean that we will enjoy subtitles in French, German, Spanish, etc...
So, there is _no benefit at all_ for the consumer, only a limit for them.

He was mentionned here
Not much was said about him, anyhow.
