Blame america! seriously, we should do this for everything. When an iraqi dictator gasses his own people, blame america. When a frenchman farts, blame america. When a scientist in England tells us that a product mainly used in europe and asia is potentially dangerous, blame america. What next, someone's gonna get sick off of the water in Mexico and it's our fauly as well?
bite me! It's not america's fault if you're too dumb to know that what you're doing is not healthy or is dagerous. It's yours. Take responsability for your own actions, and quit blaming others for your ignorance.
How did we get here? How did billions of atoms unite to create millions of cells, which united to create organs, tissues, and eventually human beings which have life, memory, and the ability to create life of our own?
The same atoms which make up my existance also make up the existance of a rock. How come We aren't all rocks?
Ok, so who's got mod points to mod this person down for making such a dumb post? Honestly people, I think Slashdot needs a "lame" modifier of -5 for posts which mention
"gellin'" "in Soviet Russia..." How good the next Star Wars flop will be "RFTM" or just about any other comment we see 5,000 times a day...
How about SuSe, my dad ACCIDENTALLY installed Suse on his laptop on day... Ok, how's that for an easy install. He friggin ACCIDENTALLY installed it.
Best part about it was that after about a day he decided that he didn't want me to put Windows back on it, and he has been using Linux for about 3 months just fine.
He can even use his wireless card which took more than an hour to install in MS. He just plugged it into the pcmcia slot and it beeped at him with Linux.
But so is a good effects processor and pedalboard.
I've looked into using a computer and software for effects processing in the past, but frankly I feel that if I'm going that far into the digital world I'd be just as well off selling my guitar and using the computer to PLAY the music as well.
Isn't the point of playing an instrument actually playing it yourself?
And I really don't need enough effects in my music to be able to afford to pay for an effects rig with a LCD screen and a keyboard. My BOSS pedalboard and 3 or 4 effects pedals work just fine for me.
My rig:
compressor, dual channel distortion, chorus, crybaby wah, tuner, and every once in a while I'll use the flange on my BOSS pedalboard. It blows chunks, but it's a flange and those suck anyways...
As far as bass goes I pretty much use the same things. Only without the need for a dual channel distortion pedal, single channel works fine for most everything.
And I don't even need to use a keyboard for those.
I was going to post this also. They don't yell hoorah, it's Hoo-Ah! And if you put an "r" in it, they tell you that "R's are for Retards"
(I was raised by marines...)
"College has little to do with learning"
No, College has EVERYTHING to do with learning. There are lots of other activities which can go on at college; but for some, it's all about learning.
I've taken a few classes over the internet, and have learned just as well in them as I did in my regular classes.
Lectures are usualy given in MP3 format, with insturctional videos when needed. I have taken Linux admin classes, English comp, and even speech.
The best part of classes over the net is that you can show up in your underware and drink through the ENTIRE class without ever getting in trouble. (unless your roommate walks in...)
I do. Evil dead was a flop when it came to horror. It just barely had enough entertainment value to make me keep watching. Evil Dead II got a little bit better. Army of Darkness is still one of my favorite movies.
With quotes like "Good Ash, Bad Ash, I'm the one with the gun", and the "what's that on your face?" joke, it was well worth paying to see.
I just with they would come out and do Army of Darkness II already.
Well duh! Being nearly legaly blind (and since when do lawiers tell me when I'm blind?), I know that I'd rather take my glasses off if I were going to jump. That way I wouldn't know I was about to hit until a few feet before impact.

Most new compaq laptops have touchpads which can be turned off.
There is no human alive who hasn't violated all 10 of the commandments as Jesus described them
Um, I haven't killed anyone. And I'm sure there are a lot of people who haven't fornicated or stolen.
But who am I to tell you that you're wrong?

Remember though, forgiving him does not mean you allow him to do it again.
The bible tells you to forgive, but it was also the source for the phrase "eye for an eye."
If he tries to kill you, put him in prison. Forgive him, but do not allow him to try to kill you, or anyone else.
Then how come my neighbor's dog only humps other male dogs? I'd consider him evidence that other species have homosexual members.
Boy that dog's a fag...

144.95 to learn to relax while running Windows? Can't I just install Fedora for free?

Wouldn't that be the magical touch of "young"?

Just like XM being commerical free now. They wait till you switch, then bring out the commericals.

Yeah, but if you ever need to drive to the airport and get on a plane, you're screwed...
I don't think it's halo 3. I just think it's gonna be the REST of Halo 2.
Febuary 2nd baby! We DO know when the story will be finished...
I hope you didn't mean Mad Max and Highlander. Don't they both have sequials that suck as much as the origionals?

Ok, how in the hell do I get rated "overrated" without having been moderated? Are mods allowed to smoke crack before they moderate or something?

I think their major mistake was not opening with the wookie defense. :: ducks and runs ::
But he still did it...
Do y'all not know what a garden is up there? Or where meat comes from?
We don't HAVE to go to the grocery store here. Just out to the back yard...
