We have two barcodes on our IDs. One 1D which only has the ID number the 2D has unencrypted driver's license or identification card number, the date of birth, the expiration date, and cardholder name as well as encrypted part which has address and other items. The law has made it illegal to decrypt the barcode except for law enforcement.
Ergo, if a bar starts sending you crap after you've visited you can assume they decrypted the info. However they could still track you for the "DUI" and "Divorce" with the ID number alone, but I guess more people are worried about the spam aspect.
Maybe you should do some research about your claims.
1) Vista only support for DX10
This isn't availible on XP either, and since no one is buying Vista no developer will support it. They don't want to only sell to a small install base.
2) MS is actually helping Mono develop Silverlight for Linux Link
Now, since they are helping a community that is actually fluent in Linux development as apposed to getting their feet dirty and then eveyone blaming them for intentionally introducing bugs to the Linux version we're now yelling "They aren't supporting Linux?"
I don't like them as much as the next guy, but at least attack them on some more valid claims (OOXML perhaps)
Now can they work on getting their (RPI) name out beyond the East Coast?
My degree is worthless when no one here (Chicago) has ever heard of the school!
I guess you missed my point. Ask the average/. reader what their view of Sony as a company is. I'm sure some of the jist of what people say will be similar to what you would hear if you asked them about Enron or MCI.
In particular I'm talking about the delay in the battery recal, the root-kit and the grey market crackdown this week.
Actually you're pretty dead on. I was a frat boy in school (granted, I went to an engineering oriented school, RPI) but most people had Xboxes because we hooked them up to the house network and played each other in Halo. There is something quite humorous and fun about playing Halo with 15 friends spread out around the house that you don't get by playing with a few in the same room. Since PS2 didn't have the network games setup (not talking about Xbox Live or PS2's equiv) no one really bothered with them.

the folks over at RIM are avid/. readers. They are paying this money to NTP to help reduce the amount of dupes on/. That series of articles, due to their frequency, accounted for 75% of dupes.
Actually this is a great idea. Now, I don't know if the records are publically availble before a vote, but if they are I'm sure some anti-government waste org could setup exactly what you describe....run a diff on the new doc vs the old and then throw that into CVS/svn. Then make that accessible via the web for non-techie types.
Who wants to do it? I would, but since we have short attention spans when it comes to political issues, I've already forgotten what I was talking about.
That was telling google et al to locate their servers offshore to avoid China asking for information from them or asking them to filter content in their search engines......which is it????
I hate this Congress.....they claim that it would be ok for us to do to another country, but not to our own. I guess their mothers never taught them the golden rule. "Treat others as you want to be treated"

trademarked or copyrighted names? Wasn't that one of the items SCO claimed ownership to (the Unix name)?
Could be another reason.
But I would make the sounds (all of them) for the program a recording of my voice going "Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggg"
Take any of my code....it has a ton of breakpoints. Usually any function with an input breaks at that point.

except hockey players.
Ok, I'm a tad confused
1 Layer = 15 gig
2 Layers = 30 gig (makes sense, 15 x 2)
3 Layers = 51 gig....wtf? 15 x 3 = 45
But only if they lock the WB Frog in with them
Skype, Sling Media, Yahoo, Nokia, Google, eBay, Microsoft, Orb and Sony Ericsson have announced plans to discontinue their free mobile services.

No, no, no. Those companies you point out are not a fair comparisons for Sony's business practices.
Lets go with Enron and MCI
Hi Mr Skeptical
I read this story and wondered a bit about the guy who was involved. Saying he's "a computer analyst" is like saying Bush is just a little slow.
His work is pretty cool http://www.shann-ford.com/001%20programming.htm
Oh and he's also a jounalist.
You must be a college student.
You just took the article and reworded it perfectly to say the same thing without having to cite your source.
good job A+ for you!
welcome our new government overlords
oh crap......now they can tell I'm lying about that.

http://television.aol.com/in2tv/heroes_horror_tv in ff and it shows part of the screen that will have the player and controls. In there it says:
When you go to the site with firefox (after you choose a show). It prompts you to install the Mozilla Firefox ActiveX plugin you might be saved.

THANK YOU RIM!!!!!

Is it getting the most of that computing power by running Windows?

Screw them.
Ya, ya I know, "I must work for a __________" because the stupid not equal symbol translates into a HTML tag <> and I didn't use the preview.
The math should have been 3*3<>(3*3*3)-3
Too bad your math doesn't work. 3*3 (3*3*3)-3 You must work for the patent office!
