Yeah but men have more dangly bits, it's somewhat different.
It is generally silly though, more movies that get an 'R' in the US for "Sexual Innuendo" or just "Sexuality" often get a 'G' in Canada, with the exact same comments. Just another reason to love the MPAA.
please do not use the words "fire extinguisher" and "balls" in the same sentence (especially if they are the total sum of the words in it), some of us have dirty minds and over-active imaginations.
During the march east the numbers were mostly reduced by battles (if I recall correctly), whilst during the march back west, it was the actual "march" doing people in. I think that would explain the bias in the descriptions.
Think of the resources as being put towards a big part of many new and exciting (and many more boring and repetitive) games - the engine will mostly likely be licensed by many companies over the next few years and will contribute to the development of interesting games... hopefully.
New games more advanced than old games? Well yes, it's pretty hard to argue with that, though I don't quite see the point. Would you like new games to look as bad as old ones?
well, MS seems to be having trouble even defending their dubious Windwos trademark... and they are rather on thin ice with the whole Look & Feel thing to begin with.
well, they could, but only if they were really trying to. I, however, said "post comments" - I figure if someone isn't even going to reply to a story, it's unlikely they'll donate money.
Yeah... it's what usually 600-800 replies for these hysterical DMCA threads? Let's say 10% will hit that "donate $1" button (probably highly unlikely), that gives you $80. Yeah, AGFA is running scared.
that this kind of thing was possible has been obvious for decades
I love comments like these - of course it's obvious. It's obvious that space travel is possible, it's obvious that cures exists for most diseases, it's obvious that human life spans can be doubled, trippled, or even extended indefinitely - are we not to be excited when all of that is achieved, either?
how could we not laugh at the "Napster" episode of Futurama?
I actually didn't like that episode all that much (and I love Futurama), I don't think it's a good example of the satire you've mentioned (which I do see on the show a lot, otherwise): they just indiscriminantly took several "issues" that have come to be recognized in "popular culture" as the very essense of the Internet - IP infringement, celebrity fanaticizm, pale geeks spending their lives in chat rooms, etc - and mixed them into some sort of current issue soup that didn't really say anything except: "hey look, this is all net realted stuff, and it's hip!"
It was a funny ep though.:)
Overall I think all that those who like Futurama like it more for the edginess (to be trite) and the geek factor is a secondary, but still iportant factor. And that's probably why it's getting canned - what's not bland, cannot appeal to the "average" viewer.
btw, I wouldn't think network execs would make decisions based on what they like - they must realize that TV execs are not a very significant demographic, and after all they probably know how to make money in that business.
Excellent call on The Tick though, best show ever made!:) "La donna e mobile \ qual piuma al vento, \ muta d'accento \ e di pensier!" I loved that show!
I keep hearing about these "email viruses", how do I enable support for that in Evolution? Or do I have to wait for the next version? I hate missing out on all the cool features.
Not nearly as much fun though.

well, buy a more expensive looking keyboard and mod it with some leds or something, and voila - nostaliga no more.
The first and the last categories are one and the same for these purposes.
Of course it isn't - that's where the whole "monopoly power" bit of it comes in.

There is no way for that post to contradict itself more.

Doesn't make much sense to play games on an LCD anyway - it's the response time, not the refresh rate that kills it.
Chess? Seems more like an FPS.

Oh, I live in a suburb of a rather large city in the US, we've only had broadband of any kind for a few years, and options are still very limited.
feh, you don't need billions of stars to make what we argue about around here seem silly and insignificant.

1/2 pay - backups, but no restores.
Yeah, talk shows just go nuts for geeks talking about coding, it's what the American audience craves.
I thought Tux held all the copyrights to the Linux kernel?
Yeah, they've got an excellent record so far.
Incidentaly, I stopped wasting time playing stupid computer games for the same reason, a bit later on.
